Avoid. Food came cold. Not warm, tepid or room temp...cold. was told it would take 20 minutes to reheat it (microwave) multiple tables were seated, served and left before we got our food (party of 5, so not huge), had to go and find waitress or staff twice to get service since, sat 20 minutes without even being given a menu. 2 meals were supposed to come with container of tortillas, waitress argued they did not till we grabbed a menu and pointed it out. Found hairs in rice and was told by waitress it was ours. Never have gone to a Don Pablos before, never will again. Place was relatively dead, would hate to see when it is busy. In the words of Cleveland Brown, it was turrible. more

This has to be the worst food (Mexican or any other) I have ever ate (and I had Mexican food in Germany once). This was my second shot at this place and I regret it terribly. The fajita meat had a funny texture to it and it wasn't just the marinade. The rice was terrible, the veggies, especially the onions where deffinately old and paperlike. The cheese and bean dip was ok, just way too hot (and I grow my own peppers and eat them raw). Wow, never ever will I go there again. Oh, by the way, they are terribly overpriced. It's clear that management is not at all concerned about the quality of the food. Yuck more

Not Authentic 7/14/2007

If you are looking for real authentic Mexican food this isn't the place. The chile rellenos batter was spongey, the flautas dry and tasteless. However, the server was wonderful. Not her fault the food does not live up to expectation. Pros: Server was wonderful Cons: Just not REAL Mexican more

This place is really weird. The bar was full and the eating area was dirty. The glasses were all spotty and something was floating in my water. I will not be returning. more

Blech! 5/19/2004

Man, people actually eat there? i went in a couple of times, ate, and proceeded to tell myself, ""I'll never go back again."" Yes, I was guilty of giving Don Pablo's another look... big mistake! They are over priced, with gross, greasy Mexican food that makes Taco Bell seem authentic! This is the WORST Mexican food I ever had... twice. more

They Changed the Menu 4/5/2003

It is horrible! If you order a fahita it will come surround in rice! Not just the traditional vegetables and meat. I think it is to cut back on costs! Their tortilla soup used to be the best, but the last time we had it it was all salt, broth, and no vegetables, and chicken. We have traveled to Texas so our favorite mexican place is in West St. Paul, but we live on the other side of town. Don Pablos was our compromise place but now we are looking for a new mexican resturant. more

Not on of the better places to eat 10/15/2002

My family and I were out for a celebration and went home with saying that we would never eat at this restaurant again. The food was cold was delivered. The server had to many tables to attend to and basically forgot we were even there. I would suggest they get some quality help or shut its doors. more
