I came here for brunch last weekend and I was very excited to try their blueberry ricotta pancakes. I had heard people rave about them from Dominick's sister restaurant Lil Dom's....

Worst

First of all, I have to say that I have been to Dominick's several times and have enjoyed the food and ambience. However, on my last visit an extra ingredient was added to my caes...

nice atmosphere, bad service, ok food 5/8/2007

Dominick's has great atmosphere-we always sit in the back patio, where you can smoke like a Turk. This is all that I really like about this restaurant.\r \r The service is always slow and ill-timed...takes forever to get your drink order and antipasti, and then vroom....your entree is there 5 mins after the antipasti....often without your drink!\r \r The menu needs to be revamped-I haven't found anything that really tastes good besides the baked ricotta/proscuitto/pepper anitpasto-and I have been there at least 20 times for dinner. The dominic's salad tastes like nothing. I think the kitchen utilizes a lot of frozen foods because flavor is missing in their dishes.\r \r We have been overcharged almost everytime we go. One time, we were charged double due to a known computer glich, with the tip included (double) for four people; the waitress didn't say anything and we tipped the waitress on top of the double tip! We came home and looked at the bill...and then the manager gave us a hard time when we called to clear-up the 'misunderstanding'.\r \r The atmosphere is great, but a lot of things need to change. Great italian fare in a city not known for it 1/28/2007

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The ambience is loud and boisterous so don't take your date if you are looking for a quiet, romantic dinner. However, if you want a lively scene and great Italian food, this place hits the spot. The Italian Wedding Soup is out of this world. I also ordered fresh pasta in a spicy tomato sauce. A disappointment... 10/28/2006

Having seen ads for Dominick's Sunday Supper at 101 Coffee Shop, we decided to give it a try. We didn't have reservations, so we had to sit at the bar (the wait was 30 to 45 minutes at 7pm). The ambiance was nice, but was definitely lacking that extra warmth. The crowd definitely worsened the ambiance. It was an older 30-something crowd of wannabe hipsters and Hollywood types, overdressed and over-makeup'd. The cod fritter appetizer was actually pretty good, crispy and light. However, the main course failed to impress. The stuffed pork was way overcooked, which means it was tough and dry. The tiramisu dessert was a bit better, but did not have enough espresso kick. best romantic patio 9/17/2006

My husband and I drove 60 miles to come to this restaurant, on a tip from a friend. We had such a great time, fabulous food (the ricotta stuffed squash blossoms are to die for) and the staff was great and cared to all of our needs.....it has become our new place for special occasions!!! Rude rude rude service 9/16/2006

True the atmosphere was refreshing, but our experience was terrible. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation and was seated 30 minutes after our reservation on a Sunday night. As we were seated we were told that the ""Sunday supper"" had already sold out 5 minuter prior to our seating. When we informed the waitress that we had come to Dominick's for the Sunday supper she called the mananger (Jeremy) over who very rudely dismissed us and told us there was nothing he could do. In short, he told us that ""either order what is on the menu or get out."" If you plan on coming here for the Sunday supper plan on being here before 7 pm or else it is a gimick. Low key Euro-style bar/restaurant with great patio, beautiful people and no attitude 9/8/2006

This place is great and everyone I take there ends up loving it. Even if I couldn't walk to it I would go there whenever I wanted a night out. They have a good wine selection, including about 10 to 15 wines by the glass and an intimate bar that usually sports some local characters (local Beverly Hills characters). Hot singles scene 8/10/2006

The singles scene was entertaining for our family to watch and the ambiance is excellent. Too bad the food did not shine as well. Everything was good but nothing really stood out as being great. Servings were small. The bill for our family of four was $100 before tip. There is a definite attraction here for the singles crowd, where the food takes a back burner to the scene. more

romantic 2/14/2006

my gfriend and i hate here for valentine's day last night. it's nice, small and quaint. i wanted to sit out on the patio w/ everyone else but there were no seats available. thank goodness because after our dinner, i took a walk over to find the area very noisy. i prefer quiet settings for an intimate dinner w/ my gfriend. at anyrate, the service was superb. our waitress was very attentive the whole evening. my gfriend enjoyed her ""fish special"" as i enjoyed my Marsala. The sauteed spinach was very delicious too. But to top off the night, their Chocolate Panna Cotta was heaven sent! one of the best deserts i've ever had. highly recommended dish. My New Favorite Place 12/29/2005

I work as a Concierge in Beverly Hills and had never even heard of Dominick's until my family came to town and my best friend suggested it for a special dinner. It was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. The outdoor patio is gorgeous and airy despite being enclosed and warmed by fireplaces. The waitress (Jessie) was fantastic. The food was sublime. The check was surprisingly affordable. I am recommending this restaurant to all the guests at our hotel and I can't wait to go back for the $15 Sunday night special. Beautiful lighting, a stunning patio complete with outside bar, fireplace and extremely eclectic music - this redux is swell. The service is attitude-free and very professional. Order the artichoke, arugula and parmesan salad and spagetti and meatballs! Don't forget to save room for the trio of home made gelato served on a slab of marble each adorned with a home made cone. What a breath of Fresh Air 9/13/2004

Wow, I hadn't been to Dominick's in a while, I just found out they'd remodeled and it was wonderful. The old Dominick's had been a staple of mine but frankly I'd gotten tired of poor service and overpriced food, enter the NEW Dominick's. I don't know why no one ever changes the name of the place but whatever it was worth it. The staff was friendly, The room is SO much nicer now, The patio is one of the best in town, sort of a Little Door, Les Deux Cafe feeling and the food, delicious!! steaks, pastas, risotto balls and a dessert that was so good I can't stop thinking about it. Marscapone cheese, fresh strawberries, lavender honey and home made almond biscotti. mmmmm I highly recommend revisiting this old standby, it's better than it's ever been, and quite a deal.
