Dolphin Staffing

I worked for Dolphin Staffing from Nov 2008 to Nov 2009. I was given an assignment and have been with that assignment for the past year. Unlike other temp agencies you need to log 2000 hours with Dolphin in order to receive 1 week paid vacation. Conveniently they are now telling me that they do not have a benefits card on file for me so they can only count my hours after Jan 1 2009 for Vacation eligibility....Ridiculous. The lengths they will go for a few bucks. I feel completely taken advantage of and I can't wait to be off their payroll. Do your research will all temp services before you sign up....I wish I would have. I wouldn't go back to this outfit if they were the last agency around. I had a very positive experience with this temp agency. I received all paperwork, paychecks, and benefits in a very timely manner. I followed their protocol for filling out time sheets and was paid appropriately. I received a bonus after 500 hours worked and would have received more benefits after 1000 hours worked if the assignment had not offered me a full-time position. I worked a total of two assignments with this agency and would highly recommend them. They were flexible and willing to understand if you turn down an assignment. Important note: Be flexible! My long term assignment was offered to me on 14 hours notice based on another temp employee quitting. Six months later, I was offered a full-time benefit earning position! I had applied through many staffing agencies and had an extremely hard time getting anyone to call me back. Dolphin called me one day after I filled out my application and brought me in for testing. The testing process is a little long but very thorough. After testing I sat down with one of their Staffing Consultants and I actually felt like I was at a job interview. Not like other agencies where they just ask you what kind of work you want and send you on your way. Within a week of my initial interview I was presented with an opportunity. The position was explained to me in great detail (once again not like other agencies, they would submit me without even talking to me about the position). I decided that it sounded like something I would be interested in and gave them my approval to submit me. After a few days my consultant called me to let me know that they had decided to go with someone else. I was disappointed but they let me know that they would continue to look for me. About 1 week later I was presented with another position. I agreed to be submitted and I got an interview. The day before my interview my consultant called me to make sure I was all set to go and to see if I had any questions at all ( This really impressed me because it was a Sunday afternoon). Well to make a long story short I ended up getting the position and after a few months was hired permanently. I still speak with my consultant from time to time. He calls me just to check in and see how things are going. Overall I don?t think you could ask for better service. Pros: Professional Staff Cons: Difficult Job Market more
