My son was still not walking by 15 months. She suggested I take him to see a physical therapist. I suggested I take him to another Dr. She refused to transfer his medical records to the new Dr. and I had to beg and threaten her to sell the records for a dollar a page so that I could get him seen elswhere. The new Dr. stressed that I HAD to have my son's records for him to look at since he suspected a problem with his health. She finally agreed to sell me the copy of his records. When my son was tested by the other Dr. he told me that my son was nearly dead from severe aniemia and to take him immediately to the emergency room. From there he was transported to ST Pete childrens. His life was saved by the steroids they put him on. Thank God I switched Dr's when I did. I'm sick to my stomach thinking about what could have happened if I had not listened to my gut. I have taken my son to the Spring Hill office of Dr. Doherty a few times and was not impressed with her at all. She didn't seem very professional and didn't listen to what I had to say about my son. She was hard to understand and seem confused most of the time. Exams did not seem thorough, the waiting room does not separate sick kids from well ones and does not give a "clean" impression.\r She may be a great person, just not an impressive doctor. more
