Respone to in the stay away review-----hjf234: As a professional in the business of 22 years it was clear to me the day you drop your 9 week 3 pound puppy off for Doggie Daycare that you are a uneducated pet owner. Frist you were not truthful about the puppy's age and then you expected Dogwood to place you 9 week old puppy weighting only 3 pounds in a yard filled with 15 other dogs. You are a perfect example of someone who should not own a pet. Your falsified STATEMEMTS are yet another example of your lack of being educated of pet care. If you were educated you would know that your statement is not possible. You would have to be a veterinary in order to had the acces to durgs!!!! WOW..... more

Great place! 12/26/2007

I highly recommend Dogwood Kennels! Not only is the place gorgeous (what dog doesn't love going on a country vacation?), but the facility is extremely clean. I've boarded my dogs (german shepherd dog and lab) there a couple of times now and they are always sad to leave. My GSD especially loves the play yard and doggie day care - she can play with other dogs all day. They were also very accommodating to my special needs, geriatric lab (who needed medication daily). The staff is friendly and sincerely kind to my dogs, they always give me an update when I call to check on them. Pros: Gorgeous facility, very clean, friendly staff Cons: can't think of any more

Stay Away! 9/21/2007

I brought my puppy there for ""doggy daycare"" only to find out he was kept in a kennel for over 6 hours! If I wanted my dog to sleep all day I would have kept him at home. I also think they gave my dog something to keep him calm. He threw up 4 times in my car on the way home and he has been in the car for hour long trips with no problem. He also was barely moving when we got home. Stay away, pay a few extra dollars to go to a true doggy daycare facility. more
