I had high hopes for Doggie Daytrippers but it all went downhill. The owner does not seem to know what her dog walkers are doing. Walkers missed visits or arrived hours late, my...

Avoid. I am familiar with a MSPCA investigation into this company where a dog died while in their care because it was left in an car, no ac, on a very hot day for an extended period of time. While I live and work very close to this business, I wouldn't take the chance of this happening to my little guys and so I board my dogs elsewhere. more

These dog lovers will take your doggy out for an afternoon field trip! To the woods, the beach, any great natural outdoor area, where your doggy can run off leash. \r I haven't tried that yet, but they walk Buster every week, and he loves it. He gets a solo walk for $18 for 45 min. The walker (same one each week) leaves a note on how Buster's walk went. I also like how they bill you monthly and send an email receipt. \r Karen, the lady who will interview you and your dog, in the beginning is sweet. \r A quality, hip, and outdoorsy vibe to this place and great website. \r Buster says paws up to this place! more

I can't say enough about Doggie Day Trippers!\r We got our pup at 10 weeks old and did a Ton of research before deciding you enroll her in DDT. They offer services all over town (not just Exclusively to certain neighborhoods) and are, as far as I can tell, one of the only places that offers off-leash group hiking. She is fit, she is noticeably better behaved at night, and she is well socialized.\r It does get pricey if you're doing it every day, but a half day should cut it for an older pup. Either way, it's one of the best deals in town for pick up/drop off, treats and outdoor fun. Her trip leader loves her, and she adores him, too. She has become the sweetest dog - and while we would love to take all the credit, we have to give credit to Doggie Day Trippers for offering such a wonderful service and socializing her at such a young age. They also offer pet-sitting, leash walking, pee breaks, etc. This is really your best bet for a healthy, happy dog. more

As I am new to the area, after dealing with a wide group of dog daycares/walkers, etc. I decided to go with Doggie Day Trippers. The employees are amazing. They actually take a genuine interest in the safety and welfare of my elderly Beagle. Most importantly, they leave a note letting me know how the day went with my dog which means a lot to me.\r \r I completely disagree about the posts regarding Karen. I have spoken to her on many occasions and not only is she willing to fix any issues I may have with a walker, she is honest, and not fake. Frankly, I find that refreshing. Additionally, I have met many of the walkers and they are equally professional and my dog loves them.\r \r As someone who has used dog daycare/walkers and sitters all over the country due to my husbands constant job moves, I must say I am highly impressed and will continue to use their service(s). more

I have used a lot of dog walking services in the Boston area since we got our lab three years ago and Doggie Day Trippers by far offers the best services and prices of all the companies we have tried. Unlike many of the other services we have used, they are 100% reliable and ALWAYS show up when they say they are going to. We typically use their 45 minute romp service where they pick up our dog, drive her to a safe location and let the dogs off leash to run and play for about 45 minutes. Given travel time, it ends being a few hour long excursion and we know our dog is playing and having fun the entire time. She always comes home happy and tired, which is a nice treat for us as well! We have met the owner and two of the walkers and they are all wonderful and clearly have a passion for animals. I have been home a few times when they have picked up our dog and to see how excited she is to see them makes me feel very confident that they take good care of her! The walkers always leave notes about pick up and drop off time and fill us on what they did that day, which is greatly appreciated. I could not be happier with this company and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pet! more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! They left my friends dog in their van for 40 minutes this week in the extreme heat and she died yesterday. Please take this post seriously, this is just one of many stories I have heard about this company. Check some of the history on Yelp to see more. more

Extraordinary. 4/21/2011

After having a terrible experience with a local walker, our family hired Doggie Daytrippers. We used their services (three times a week) for the past year and a half, until we moved out of the service area. The service they provided our *very* high energy, high maintenance dog was extraordinary. Our walker, Dennis, was extremely kind, patient and willing to take on our dog, Calie, who has had a history of aggression. The owner, Karen, was honest, communicative, reliable and even made a personal trip to our house to observe Calie the first day to ensure a good experience. The walker always left a note, telling us what happened during the day, if our dog peed or pooed, etc. They also managed to find a group of dogs that Calie got along with so she could go out on group playdates -- each evening she returned home tired and happy. I knew it was a good fit when she started crying with excitement when the van pulled into our driveway on pickup days - she couldn't wait to see Dennis! I cannot recommend this company more - they are trustworthy professionals who treated our dog like their own. We miss you already, Karen and Dennis! more

Extremely accomodating 4/12/2011

They have been extremely accomodating and anytime there has been a fill in walker, I have been contacted by phone since I have to coordinate pick-up and drop offs. My walker Gretchen is great and very accomodating. She texts me everytime she drops my dog off and gives me updates. more
