Doggie Avenue

This store has some very nice, but expensive items. It has a great following of lots of friends, groupies, and puppy buying followers. There are two owners and one of them, Jose, can be very unfriendly and unhelpful. He definitely has his favorites and if you are not known to him, he can be very cranky. The positive reviews of the this place are very similar, but there are a few that do not portray this business very well, so read on. These reviews are not by the same person. Some of us have not had a good and friendly experience with Jose. We wanted to like and support this business, but because our experience with Jose, we cannot. This was not a one time impression. We gave him a chance a few times. Judge for yourself. Hopefully some of the less positive reviews may make Jose become aware of his actions and improve services for other customers. I know these guys and they are incredible, Jose is a very good person, he is very sweet and Paulo is so respectful and nice, the groomings in their shop are great and I know dogs are treated very nice, everyone is very professional there, so I highly recommend this place!!! Don't pay attention to this person, because it's only one person who is trying to make people believe Jose and Paulo are mean, is such a big lie, my friends and I always shop there, we always go there for the groomings and Jose and Paulo are always so nice, the service is not unstable, don't pay attention to this loser who is talking bad things about them, they are very good!!! DOGGIE AVENUE IS THE BEST LITTLE STORE I HAVE FOUND FOR MY LITTLE GUY! THEY HAVE EVERYTHING FROM TOYS TO CLOTHING AND EVEN GROOMING. THE OWNERS ARE THE BEST AND YES JOSE DOES GROOM, HE'S ACTUALLY BEEN THE ONE DOING MY LITTLE GUYS HAIR SINCE HIS FIRST HAIR CUT. I WOULD NEVER TRUST ANYONE ELSE WITH MY ANGEL. EVERYONE I HAVE RECOMMENDED HERE HAS LOVED IT JUST AS MUCH AS I DO. THEY ARE VERY AFFORDABLE FOR ANY BUDGET AND I ALWAYS LEAVE VERY PLEASED LOOKING FORWARD TO MY NEXT VISIT WITH THEM. I will have to disagree with Tony S, although he/she has changed her name numerous times just to write a bad review.. I have gone back with my babies, and it is JOSE that does my babies. I know there is a very nice girl there too, and I do know that they wouldn't hire someone who didn't love doggies as much as they do! So for your comment about Jose not doing the grooming? That is a false accusation on your part. Maybe he didn't do your dog, but he does mine just fine! It wounds like the last review was in response to the one before. Be original. Everyone has there own opinion and if the service is so drastically different from one customer to another, then there might be cause for concern. Keep that in mind. Our experience was not postive. This is great little store. I read some of the other reviews to see how people felt about this gem. As I see it you can shop for your dogs items at a pet store chain and find pretty much the same stuff or go to Doggie Avenue If you want something that your not going to find elsewhere then you should try this shop. This is not a chain pet store it is a boutique so you will find some high end items but that's why i'm going in there. Pet owners are no different then parents of children. Grooming a dog can be as emotional as taking your child to the hair salon for a hair cut. Some kids are easy and some not. Its the same with dogs. Some people are easy and some people are quite demanding. and can't be pleased. I have never seen the owners be anything but accommodating to anyone that comes into their store and that includes my own daughter that can be very trying at times and she loves to go into their store. They give her free treats to give to her dog to try out. This is a store that does grooming in the back. If you want to watch your dog being groomed this isn't it. You'll need to find a groomer with a window for you to watch. I have a great dentist but he doesn't clean my teeth someone else does. That doesn't mean I didn't get a good job done. I have not purchased an animal from the owners of this shop though I think the puppies I have seen there are very cute sweet puppies. I have gone in bought an item and gone in and not bought anything.I have always been treated the same way in a friendly warm manner by both Jose and Paulo. I did purchase a dog from someone that really did not take care of the dog and she looked awful. Over washed, chopped hair ( done at Pet co), and under fed. Jose did the grooming on this dog and made her beautiful for my daughter. The dog and my daughter love the owners and I for one am glad to have found them. Would I buy a dog from them? Yes I absolutely would and I like shopping in their store. I think you would too, GREAT JOB GUYS ! Pros: I love the ambience or the store and the people working there. I am sure that some people might have a decent experience, but we did not. You do not know who is doing the grooming. It is unclear. Very pricy store....cute..but pricy and many of the items there can be purchased at other pet stores cheaper. I admit the store is decorated nicely, but Jose (one of the owners, I think) is difficult and he certainly has favorites...expecially people who purchase his expensive pups. The experience with this store and staff was such a disappointment. It turns out that the 2 owners never do the grooming. As a customer, you cannot see where your animals are taken, therefore, never meet the actual groomer. I was told this information by the owners Jose and Paulo. Unfortunately, I was given the impresssion at first that one or both do participate in the grooming but found out after the fact. Jose who seems to mostly man the store can become very strange. He is moody and can act distant and curt with customers, unless you are purchasing the many expensive supplies or one of his puppies he breeds. more

If you are a dog lover DoggieAvenue is a must place you need to visit. You will find the most fashionable and cute staff for your dog. Jose is one of the best lovable and caring groomers I have met (excellent work Jose). I definately recomend everyone to stop and take a look. You'll dog will have an unforgettable experience!! more

If your looking for a great place to buy some wonderful one of a kind accessories for your pet or need some talented loving people to groom your dog. This is the place to go. The two most charming gentlemen that own the store are totally into dogs and it shows that they love what they do. If your looking to get a new addition to your family. You should really check out the dogs that are available here. I have had more then 6 yorkies over the past 35 years and did some home breeding for myself and family members. They do breed and do sell their own home raised puppies. Some of the most beautiful dogs you will ever see. Sweet, wonderful temperments, loving puppies. And did I say gorgeous well let me say it again gorgeous dogs!!!
