wonderful clinic!!! 5/25/2011

I LOVE this clinic! The ladies are always very sweet and call all of my animals by name when we walk in the door! They are a little more expensive than other places, but you pay for the service and care you get there! Plus, we always leave with freebies of some kind! Dr. Brown loves animals and helps you understand how to keep them healthy. She has never been unprofessional toward me or anyone else I know that take their pets there. I also saw a comment about her fighting with her husband in front of people, I know that isn't true because I know she isn't even married! People will always say bad things if they had a less than perfect experience, but I will say this place is wonderful! more

This is the worst place I could ever take my pets to. Not only was the Dr. very cold, abrupt, and rough with my dog while examine him, while waiting to be seen by her, she was outside on the phone arguing with her husband and she apparently is not a happily married woman. I can understand having a bad day, but there's no reason to take it out on your patients and to keep it at home and not for everyone in your waiting room to hear. more

horror stories from an EX employee 9/1/2010

I spent one month as an employee of the Dog and Cat Clinic and Laser Center, witnessing the horrible actions of Dr. Valri Brown on a daily basis. \r First, this woman does not have any sort of compassion for animals that you?d expect from someone who chose a career as a veterinarian. She shows no patience towards the animals she ?treats?, and often times appears on the verge of violence towards her patients. \r I was an employee during a 4th of July holiday weekend, and The Dog and Cat Clinic was extremely overbooked, and instead of turning away boarders, Dr. Brown and her staff allowed for the on-take of more animals than they had room for. This meant that many of the dogs had to share kennels and some large breed dogs were kept in kennels much too small for them. \r I witnessed many horror stories while assisting her in grooming the dogs and cats. With long-haired cat breeds that needed to be shaved down, Dr. Brown would carelessly nick their skin and, showing no sympathy for more

My Doby 1/9/2010

I brought my White Doby there to get lazer surgery to get multiple moles/tumors removed. My curent vet (Pet Care) charged $80 per mole. Being he is a white Doby and they pople we rescued him from left him chained to a tree in the Fl sun his sensitive skin go dozens of moles from the sun. The Dog and Cat Clinic did lazer surgey and removed over 20 (all he had) and only charged me $600 which is quit a deal if you do the math my old vet would have charged over $1600. and some moles that my old vet said couldn't be removed the Dog and cat clinic did remove. I dropped him off at 8am and he was ready for pick up at 4pm same day which is great. They all very very nice and seemed to not mind that my doby doesn't like to be in a kennel and howled all day. From my visit I recomend this place to anyone and they have a 10% Mil discount. Pros: Very nice staff and knowledgeable Dr. Cons: I don't have any more

Bad Vet and a Bad Person 9/23/2009

SCAM ARTIST! Don't you think they'd use "lasers" for womens hysterectomies if it was "safer"?? CLEARLY a SCAM!!!! And I when I first got my puppy at 5 weeks I asked her if she was too young for shots.. she said "No" charged me over $200 dollars... and THEN I found out that puppies cant mount an immune responce until they're over 6 weeks... had to get those shots all over again. And I brought a stray in that I was treating for heart worms.. she charged me $45 for a "physical" which he didn't need because he had just been there to get the treatment a few weeks prior and insisted on doing a "follow up heart worm test" which I told her would be positive because he was still being treated, she insisted it woudnt, but it was and she STILL charged me. Then insisted on another one 3 weeks later so I looked it up and they arent supposed to be retested until 6 MONTHS post treatment... Maybe she's just a bad vet and doesn't know her trade, but I think she's just a bad person and likes stealing f more

Overpriced and Rude 2/19/2008

I started taking my pets to Dr. Valeri Brown because she was closest,..what a mistake. When she wasnt talking down to me, she ignored me when I was asking questions about my cat's giardia. Basically treated me like I was stupid. She also charges a 39 dollar office exam fee, whether your getting examed or not and as others have said, will not consult you before milking those charges to your bill. more

IF YOUR PET IS ALREADY DEAD, OK TO USE DR,BROWN 1/28/2008

The worst compassion for animals I have ever witnessed. Why did she even become a vet, must have been for the money She is over-priced and has the rudest, incompetent staff (she can't keep a decent employee) She must have the same compassion for humans (staff) that she has for animals. I wouldn't recommend this clinic to my worst enemy. Maybe if the pet was already dead, we could use their disposal services, but probably be overcharged and she would manage to slip in an exam fee!! more

terrible 10/31/2006

I was also charged for things that they did to my dogs without even telling me, the doctor just started giving my dog shots without asking me first and then charging me for them. Also they are not very friendly at the clinic. more

Watch out for this one... 10/25/2006

Dr. Valri Brown was rude and disrespectful. I was charged for services which were never performed and did not feel that my pets received the proper care. My pet was taken there for surgery which she neglected to do for quite a number of days. She knew that I was out of town and from day one I was told that my pet's surgery was over and that he was doing quite well. However, a friend of mine went in to visit the animal only to discover, a week later, that the surgery had never been performed and the animal was still in pain and receiving no treatment. Dr. Brown would give no explaination and later denied that she had spoken to me. I do not believe that a licensed veterinarian should neglect an animal in this way, nor directly lie to the owner about its condition or treatment. Since then I have heard only negative things about her and would never consider taking any animal there again. If you doubt this, just start asking around and I'm sure you'll hear the horror stories. PROS: None CO more

Excellent Care 6/7/2005

They took excellent care of our dog here when she had to get shots and also when we got her fixed. They did laser surgery and took great care of her. It was worth the little extra to know our dog was in good hands. more

Nice clinic with boarding services 6/5/2005

Dog and cat owners will love this smal centrally located vet clinic. The staff is knowledgeble and extremely nice, especialy to anxious owners leaving their baby for the first time. It's a small business and as such you get great one on one interaction with the staff, including the veterinarian. The facility is clean and they give military discounts. PROS: Warm and knowledgeable staff CONS: Limited weekend hours more

Very Friendly 5/27/2005

We took our dog to get fixed here and they were very nice and friendly, especially to the animals. It was priced kind of high but we did laser surgery so it was safer. I would recommend them if you are willing to pay a little more for your pet ! more

They are Decent 5/25/2005

I had my dog fixed there and the staff was nice. They weren't overly nice like our current vet is. For services in conjunction with the state offerings like lower cost certificates, they were decent. more

Dog/Cat Clinic 5/15/2005

We took our Cat King Arthur to this Clinic for his Yearly check-up and Vaccinations since we had just gotten transfered here and this Clinic was closest to our Apartment. I was not impressed with the Service although the front Desk Clerk was very nice. I never went back and took my Cat on Base the next Year. more
