Never again!!!!!!!!!! 6/15/2011

Well, I never ever thought I would make this decision nor write a review expressing my view. I just got back from the Dodger/Reds game last night. It was my first game of the season (and last for my life!). I have been going to Dodger games for 50 years. I shared season tickets for 12 years. I have noticed a steady deterioration of the overall experience the last few years but I love the game and the Dodgers have been my team. After last night I will never go to a home game again! The experience was terrible starting from the entrance and got worse. Yes, the fan base rivals that of a Raider game! Yes, the stadium is aged and unappealing. Yes, the prices are outrageous and the lines are unacceptable slow. But, what drove me over the edge was the obvious lack of concern to provide any sense of giving the paying customers any value what so ever for their money! The crowd was small and they cared less about providing service. Having to stand in line for two innings (this after missing almost two innings while parking!) to get something to eat. If this was a sellout I could understand, but they did not even have all their food stands open! Really! How about paying the players a million or so less per year and hire a couple more employees to provide service to the paying fan! Let's see........ make the average fan miss 20-40% of the game that they paid to see so we (The Dodgers) can save an extra $1,000.00! The whole experience for me was disappointing to the point where I will never return! I will see if I can catch an away game some time. As mad as I am I feel very sorry for Mr. Scully. It must crush him to see the destruction of the organization from all points. Mungo4 more

danger zone 5/28/2011

I love the Dodgers, I have for over 25 years. But, the owners have let this stadium turn into one of L.A.s worst places to go. Unless you're looking to get involved in a gang war - stay away. more

Dodger Stadium; Enter At Your Own Risk! 4/3/2011

Most of the people who have written positive reviews are living in the O'Malley past when the Dodger organization was the class of the Majors! Under the recent owners Dodger Stadium on game night is one of the most dangerous places to be in the city, as civiilzed people have their first encounter with uncivilized gang members from the time they are in the parking lot to the time they sit down! Nothing but loud, obnoxious drunks, swearing , assaulting, and harrassing every one they see! Dont bring your wife or children!! This should be the number one stop on the Gangland Tour Bus! more

dodger stadium yea not 4/3/2011

Has to be the most unsafe ballpark in America. I sat next to a girl with a SF hat and heard the worst slurs ever. Then 3 gentleman were jumped at the end of the game. I can watch on tv at home. I know get over it or thats what you get wearing SF hat to game. I hope no one from los feliz wears those stupid clothes to Hollywood or else watch your back more

The heart and soul of Los Angeles 1/13/2010

Dodger Stadium is hands down one of the greatest Baseball Stadiums in the history of baseball. It is the home of the Dodger Dog, Nancy Bea the great organ player, Vin Scully the greatest broadcaster in all of sports. You may complain about fans being to rowdy, but go to any stadium in this country and you'll see the same thing there too. Don't let a few fans who may of had to much to drink make you think all Dodger fans are like that. You complain about parking, it's like that in other places too. The prices are more or less the same as well. If you think it's a little pricy, then you shouldn't be going to the games every week. If you think parking is tough to get out of, then relax and hang out with some of the other Dodger fans enjoying the results of the game. If you are on a friday or weekend game, where can you possibly being going to the point where you become frustrated due to bad traffic. This is Los Angeles!!!! There is traffic everywhere!!!! Dodger Stadium is the heart and soul of Los Angeles, just because you had a bad day at the ballpark, doesn't give you the right to say such things in a negative and ignorant tone. If you can't appreciate greatness don't go, the Dodgers don't need you. You should just move to San Francisco and become a Giants fan, if you aren't one already. However if you're mind can't be changed then I suggest that you come back in about three or maybe four years when, the upgrades to the stadium and parking lot will be more modernized and a more convenient to those who are not regulars to the game. Until then, the fans, the organization and the city would be very grateful if you kept your opinions to yourself. Pros: Great food, great fans, beautiful women and a great team. Cons: Traffic, and parking (What do you expect it's L.A) more

HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE 10/16/2009

This was the worst experience I have ever had - it was so bad I don't even know where to begin. First, it took about 90 minutes to get into the stadium and find parking. Then we had to wait the concession stand for over 20 minutes (there were only 5-6 people in front of us). The crowd were full of ignorant, rude and foul-mouthed boors (I WOULD NEVER TAKE MY CHILD HERE), not to mention we saw numerous fights and almost fights break out. We then had a mini-altercation in the parking lot where we waited another 60 minutes to exit. Finally, when we got home, we saw that someone had keyed the trunk of my brand new 3-week old car - which will cost $500+ dollars to fix. I NEVER GOING TO ANOTHER DODGERS GAME EVER - STAY HOME AND ENJOY THE GAME - IT IS MUCH BETTER, CHEAPER AND SAFER. DODGER STADIUM IS NOT SAFE!!!! Pros: I got home alive Cons: Just about everything more

Games okay BUT DONT THINK ABOUT GOING TO A CONCERT HERE 11/7/2008

There is not a good seat in the house. At least not one very affrodable for big name concerts. Furthermore traffic is so bad getting in for special events at 7 730 pm that the effort you will spend getting there will already guarantee you a stressfull time. I mean to comment only on special events like concerts. One list swipe at Los Angeles City Parking and traffic control people ""surely if you are really doing your job you can move traffic better into doger statium instead of walking about at intersections without a plan and completely useless"" Pros: Great For Baseball when the crowd rolls in Cons: big draw concerts or events must be avoided here more

Good and not so good 9/27/2008

I've been here like 50 times over the last 20+ years, so I feel I'm pretty qualified to review this place. more

Think Blue... 7/29/2008

If you live in LA and have never been to Dodger Stadium, you're missing out on your own city. Dodger Stadium is a baseball treasure in an age of climate-controlled, artificial field stadiums. The Home of the Dodgers is real LA history, and though it is sprawling and maybe even dirty, it's as classic a place to see a game as Fenway or the soon-to-be-imploded Yankees Stadium, and the good news is Dodgers Stadium is sticking around. Go see a game, the truth is there's not a bad seat in the house, and as obnoxious as Dodger fans might be. It's American baseball at it's finest. more

All you can eat ticket is worth the $22.50! 6/26/2008

I went to the Dodger Game yesterday (they won-yay!!) and my friend got us tickets in the all-you-can-eat bleachers, a feature I had never heard of (unfortunately) before! The seats are decent, but the best part is you have access to unlimited dodger dogs, peanuts, popcorn, nachos, water bottles, and soft drinks- it is a great deal that anyone going to a game should try- because really who doesn't end up buying a dog or some peanuts!! Pros: All-you-can-eat bleachers are the way to go!! more

Great stadium minus the expensive snacks 6/5/2008

Dodger Stadium was much nicer than I imagined. It?s worth it almost to drive up there just see the skyline views of the L.A. from the parking lot, but obviously the real attraction is the ballpark. I loved how you look across the field and see ?Think Blue? on the hillside in the distance a la the Hollywood sign. The views of the game were fantastic from the mid-tier, where my seats were. But when I walked up to the upper level behind home plate, the views there weren?t even that bad. Only just having to pay $6 for a Dodger dog and around $8 for a cup of beer was. Wish I could comment on whether the game was worth the price of admission, but lucky for me, my seats were free. more

dodgers rock! 12/30/2007

Dodger Stadium is a amazing place! They have great security. It provides food and beverages as well as the game. It is AMAZING!!!!!! Pros: amazing place to have fun Cons: sad when dodgers lose more

GO DODGERS! 11/17/2007

It's always a great experience going to Dodger Stadium to watch a baseball game. The view of the playing field is breathtaking and sometimes was more entertaining than watching the Dodgers stink up the place with their lackluster offense and pourous defense last season. No matter what, the blue crew is my team through thick and thin. The Dodger management does have to do something about the ""Raider Nation"" element that seems to have permeated into the cheaper seats of Dodger Stadium. It just makes it difficult to bring younger ones when you have drunk cholos trying to start fights in the stands. Pros: The Dodgers, Dodger Dogs, The Field Cons: The influx of Raider Nation attitude more

Best place for a concert 6/26/2007

I haven't been for one of the famous Dodgers games, but I took my first trip there for the Police concert this past weekend. I absolutely loved the stadium. While outside the actual stadium buying drinks, the noise was drowned out enough that you could talk to the person next to you but inside the acoustic was amazing. Every seat has a good view. Just remember where you parked!!!!!! You'll wander for hours otherwise Pros: Great stadium, margaritas, people Cons: Parking is horrendous!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

HEAVEN ON EARTH! 3/20/2007

Dodger Stadium is a true work of art and one of baseball's last classic gems. No Natonal League Stadium rivals Dodger Stadium in tradition, championships, and fan base. Great moments in baseball happened here that can be considered truly electric. Kirk Gibson's home run happenend here in 1988, Gagne, the greatest closer in baseball was shutting teams down in the ninth for three phenomenal years proving that Dodger fans could stay to the very end, and then four consecutive homers in the bottom of the ninth just last year agiants the hated Padres which then followed with Nomar's walk off home run to win it in the tenth. These moments have been engraved in my memory forever and being here to see the fans cheer along with me until my voice was gone, was simply awesome. You can experience great times, great food, great teams, and easy ins and outs at other stadiums but nothing will ever compare or mean anything unless it happens here. (maybe if the Dodgers win a World Series on the road) If you are true baseball fan you should be able to see why this is a truly remarkable park. I live in Orange County and I am only 5 minutes away from Angel Stadium. I just don't like Angel Stadium and it really has no life to it and so I would much rather drive in traffic for an hour to be part of a Dodger game. I like the feel of a National League game better anyways and will always be Dodger Blue. With anything that you love, you eventually learn to deal with the negatives and in this case with the stadium, you arrive early and leave late to avoid the traffic. You enjoy more of the game and eat & drink less so you have more money left. Well hope this helps you a little and maybe we'll be there part of some awesome moment again. True Blue, True Dodger Blue!!!!! Pros: Dodgers, Weather, Tradition, Value Cons: Parking, Price of food & drinks more

the best experience in baseball 3/20/2007

I love this place. I moved to the US from the UK in the late 90's, visited here once and was immediately true blue and hooked on baseball. The view is great from just about anywhere, you can go cheap in the pavilion or expensive in the dugout club - or for the best value try the infield reserve. Sure some folks get boisterous after a few beers, but that is true in any sports stadium in the world - and I've been to many. If you don't want to risk it stay clear of the cheap seats Pros: Easy parking (if you arrive on time), atmosphere, 7th innings stretch Cons: Expensive beer more

It's historic 1/23/2007

The Dodger Stadium is a bit far and hidden but it's so much fun! Well, if you are going for the game or, like my friends...just for the Dodger dogs!!! It's a baseball game, the all-American pastime and every time I go I sit next to really awesome people... more

Go Blue! 11/14/2006

I've been coming here since I can remember. My father used to take my brother and I and we'd sit in the bleachers, looking at the players through binoculars and eating Carnation frozen chocolate malts, Dodger Dogs, and that oh-so-American staple, Cracker Jacks! I have been going more often recently and the experience is still awesome. There's tons of parking, the crowd is lively but civil, and the games have been a blast! I still load up on junk food and there's just nothing like those frozen chocolate malts! The concession walkers aren't too annoying and it feels the same as when I was a kid, which is probably the best compliment a ballpark can make. more

Better than the Halos 7/10/2006

Chavez Ravine, unlike that box where the Angels play, feels like a real baseball stadium. There's a lot of extra-baseball history looming over the field (see Ry Cooder's album), which add to the mystique of the places. That, coupled with all the recent renovations and you got yourself a pretty fine ballpark! more

Love the stadium! (Sorely needs public transit.) 4/2/2006

As a season ticket holder, I go to a good number of Dodger game each season. With the recent renovations to Dodger Stadium, I'm proud to say that the new seats, while still plastic, are now actually comfortable, and the new Baseline Field Boxes are tempting, though pricey. I would have to agree with some of the other reviewers here; the acres of sprawling parking lots do not making parking at Dodger Stadium easy, convenient, or affordable (although no more expensive than the average MLB stadium). What is sorely needed these days is a direct bus line to the stadium or at least a public shuttle. Well, one can hope! Regardless, if you have a love for classic baseball you must visit Chavez Ravine at least once. (And, of course, you still can't beat Nancy Bea playing the Dodger Stadium organ nightly.) Pros: live organ music, good attendance, historic venue Cons: no public transit more
