Doce has new owners as of last fall and they're still putting out similar delicious mediterranean style food with a few new ideas. There's fresh paninis, salads, daily specials. Try the chicken salad - it's the best. The new owners are friendly and the place has a relaxed feeling that's great for a quick lunch or a meeting with friends. Pros: fast service more

Great deal... 2/19/2006

Doce is my favorite place for lunch in RTP. After the loss of their original chef, Nate, David and Caroline struggled to fill those shoes. No longer-they are back! Oscar is preparing food the way that Georgio intended and Nate would be proud, too. The hot foods are wonderful, they offer some great sandwich specials daily and I can always count on their fresh salads. Although their hours are from 11-2 weekdays, ocassionally I will drop in before 11 and grab a breakfast burrito and a coffee. I frequent doce often and have never left there dissatisfied. Doce has catered all of the events I done over the last 4 years. Their sandwich trays, hot entrees and salads are second to none and the service is as expected. Thanks for being there! Pros: Good parking, In and out in 30 mins more

Breakfast? or.... 9/25/2005

Website advertises breakfast and lunch every day, open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Go there for breakfast at 9 a.m., order one of the 6 things they had available for breakfast, cook doesn't have it. All he's got is an egg sandwhich because the other food isn't prepared yet. Overhear the owner later discussing that they have to prep all the lunch food in the morning so the breakfast isn't available except for egg sandwhiches. Why even offer breakfast? I'm surprised this place is still open with 6 hours of operation time and 4 of those hours half the menu isn't available. Highly recommend you stay away from this place. Cons: Poor service., Worse food., Limited menu. more

Fab-U-lous 10/25/2002

Fantastic, cosmopolitan, healthy, reasonably priced, a true jem in the RTP. I wish there was a location in Raleigh so that I could eat there nights and weekends! more

Good quick eats 10/3/2002

Just moved from Chicago and it's nice to know there are more ""fast"" lunch options outside of the regulars: Subway, McDon's, etc. Pros: Cheap, Quick, Convenient location more

Did you say baked or hardened chicken? 9/9/2002

Found the listing on CitySearch and thought I'd give it a try. It was moderately busy for prime-time lunch hour. But I was very disappointed when seeing the limited entree selection. For those on a diet, or feeling like a little save the cows, I'd suggest you try it. For those wishing to find satisfying dishes, go elsewhere. I had the baked chicken which was like cutting a tire. I also had the green beans and seasoned diced potatoes. I can't say that it was an ample serving even for a very petite lady. We won't even mention the office type sitting environment. Surprised not to find a stapler at my table. It looks like a great break room at a renovated office. Save your dime and venture elsewhere. Pros: Sodas $1, Recycle Bin, Clean Smelling Cons: Food, Seating, Small Serving Portion more

Fine, Fresh & Fast!! 9/7/2002

I Love this place! The freshness in the air is mouthwatering, the food is one of a kind in the area. A very unique operation. Always very filling and satisfying. Clean environment and a very customer service minded staff. They go out of their way to meet your needs. Our company uses Doce for catering and have been well pleased with the products and service. Pros: Super Fresh!, Tasty!, Fast! Cons: Not open for dinner. more

FINALLY... No fryers or microwaves! 9/2/2002

I've never written a review about any restaurant before but after eating at Do'ce I have to share the news. I heard about Doce' through friends who frequent the restaurant daily. Having just moved into the area from southern California, Do'ce sounded like it offered the types of foods I was accustomed to...consistently fresh, healthy and convenient-at a moderate price. Do'ce lived up to all my expectations!!! Doce' offers the professional person a great place to meet with friends or take a business meeting. Pros: great selection more

Trendy little lunch spot 8/9/2002

Doce is a nice change of pace from the usual fast food joints in RTP--and although the dining room gets a little cramped, you can almost always find a table outside on warm afternoons. One tip: When you first pick up a tray at the food counter, don't panic and order one of the first dishes you see. The cafe has a great selection of sandwiches and salads that you'll come to after you pass by the pastas and heavier items. Pros: Outdoor tables Cons: Expensive more

Thumbs Down, Sorry Guys 6/5/2002

I wasn't at all impressed with this place. The chicken caeser salad was soggy and not at all worth $6.95. The host needs to take a few lessons in the art of smiling. Sorry folks, I won't be back. more
