Dmi Dance Force

My daughter had danced at another studio for 6 years and we chose to leave due to way too much drama and it was the best move ever for my daughter. When we decided to move we were very affraid that there would be cliques and the same drama however we were very happy to findout that this is not the case at DMI. Everyone was very welcoming and they opened their hearts and welcomed me and daughter into the DMI family with open arms. That is what DMI is a family. This year has shown that the owner Charlotte can really handle herself well with two break-ins and getting the new studio up and running. I commend her on still being able to get recital, costumes and classes taken care of in an orderly manner. I have actually saved money compared to what I was paying at the old studio. On average at the old studio I paid anywhere from $100 - $300 for a dance costume but at DMI I have never paid over $100 for a costume and that includes my daughters team costumes. I would recommend DMI to anyone and everyone that wants to have a wonderful experience. more

Hey all, My daughter has been at DMI for 2 years. we were at a different studio prior to DMI. We are so happy with the switch! Dmi is a fun high energy dance studio. Before we came to DMI I had to push her to go to dance. She now loves dance and her teachers! As a parent I was very pleased with her progress over the last 2 years.This year she was on the competition team and had a lot of fun the teachers are awsome with the kids! If you are looking for a place to dance on the southside of Des Moines you should really check out DMI. more

There isn't a bad word I can say about Charlotte's DMI Dance Force. My daughter has danced there for 5 years. She would never want to leave. I love the friendly atmosphere. Charlotte is one of the best teacher by far. We have been to two other studios. My daughter and I feel that dmi has become the one place we truely fit in. When my daughter comes out of one of her 6 dance classes she always has a smile on her face. The teachers are very approchable and are always smiling. The kids get along very well. Recital and classes are very well organized. Our new building is amazing! I would recommend this studio to anyone interested in having fun while learning dance. more

DMI dance is over-priced and under-organized... the dance studio is VERY clique and if you are new to the area, not very welcoming for your child. The parents who assist at the front desk are not very friendly and you will feel out of place within your first two weeks. The routines are fresh and exciting, however the management is disappointing. My child does not want to attend after this year and dropped one class because of the teacher's methods. more

they charge $70 per outfit for their recital...with 3 costume changes. much less expensive at other classes I have seen.\r we signed up for monday classes but they changed it to saturday mornings.\r 4 months into class and they still can't give us a date for the recital (but expect full payment for outfits).\r I wish somebody could have warned me prior to signing up with this mess. more
