It was amazing 5/31/2011

We just went in for dinner and as always it was amazing I believe our servers name was Cegenia and she was Awesome.. Im reccovering from a horrible flu and i ordered hot tea which she brought out with some lemon slices on the side because she knew i was under the weather.. How awesome is that? will be back again and again more

Dish crew. Just want to shout out that we enjoy dinning with you guys last weekend before flying back to Vegas. The food was awesome best in town and the crew was very helpful n lay back. more

Great ambiance 5/11/2011

My husband and I went to dinner at Dish for the first time on Sunday...... and LOVED IT! The food was amazing, our waitress Sally was friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job. Great ambiance. Definitely a favorite on our list now! more

I am a Sake snob, and I am not ashamed 5/5/2011

I am a sushi snob. I admit it. I am a Sake snob, and I am not ashamed. Dish has both...and they are pretty damn good, not great, but good. The atmosphere is fantastic, although it does seem to be trying a bit too hard. I ordered both the Chanel Number 5 Roll ( which is officially my favorite roll in Alaska) and the sesame chicken ( yes, I eat a lot.) I enjoyed both. I could have done without miso soup appetizer, but, the ginger salad was a great pallete cleanser pre sushi. I had the plum Sake...and I am pretty sure I am a borderline addict now. It was freakin fantastic! I happen to know the owner personally, and she is a doll. The waitstaff are great...very young, but efficient and frienly none the less. There were enough hipsters for me to take notice, but not so many that I wanted to throw my chopsticks at anyone. Go take a visit, order the Chanel Number 5 Roll, have a few glasses of Plum Sake and realize that life is pretty damn good. more

Delish at Dish! 5/3/2011

First off, the food was delish at Dish! 3 of us had sushi while 2 others in our party opted for cooked food. One ordered YUMMY sesame chicken while the other ordered Mongolian beef. Apparently the mongolian beef was still good the next morning and is the "perfect hangover food". The sushi was great! We had no problems and we can't wait to go back. more

Atmosphere is great 4/28/2011

I admittedly don't know what "real sushi" is supposed to taste like having never been to Japan, but I think Dish is pretty A-ok anyway. I usually get the chicken bento (comes with a little bit of everything) and for the $12 or $13 is costs, I am full on miso, salad and a huge spread of rolls, chicken and potstickers. Totally worth it for lunch - though I have never been there for dinner, I hear the menu is the same but a bit pricier.... The atmosphere is great - I can't help but stare at the distressed glass room dividers and think "how did they do that?" My husband and I usually sit at the sushi bar and the guys working always make us feel very welcome without breathing down our necks or making it uncomfortable. Need a sweet treat on the way out the door? Grab a mini chocolate bar from the large bowl - it's worth it too. more

Loved it! 4/27/2011

Tried this place recently while visiting Anchorage & loved it! Went here for lunch with the husband & he ordered a delicious bento box while I got a sashimi plate + a roll. All the sushi was really fresh & my simple tempura roll was delicious & a bit spicy. The tea & service was great & the price was pretty good for all the food we got. I'll definitely be back here again next time I'm in the "city"!! ;) more

MC roll, best of the best and the dream are our top three favorites! But we like everything we try... My 5 year old is always asking to go to the "shark restaurant". He likes your logo ;) more

Servers were excellent 4/14/2011

Went there after the Sportmans show.... Sushi is AMAZING @Dish! I recommend it to EVERYONE in the mood for sushi. It was beautifully plated and delicious! The ambiance was very chill... the servers were excellent and the company was very nice! Thanks Matt! :) more

By far the best 4/11/2011

Every time my husband and I go here the food is better and better. We try different types of sushi each time. We simply tell our server to surprise us and we have never been disappointed with what they bring. I leave there so full I can hardly breath! The aptmosphere is great, we're relaxed and happy each time were in there. I've been a sushi eater for 15 years and have been to a lot of sushi places in Anchorage & outside and this is by far the best place I have ever been. more

Can't wait to go back! 4/6/2011

I ordered the Mongolian beef, it was so good, moist and plenty for 2. We sat at the saki bar and the bartender was nice and very attentive to our needs. My husband got a sushi plate with some pretty big hunks of fish he said it was good minus the tuna. We spent 60 bucks which included soup salad and a mojito we split (which was very tasty). It was pretty crowded and the ambiance was nice... we can't wait to go back! more

I always make sure I come in 3/17/2011

I've been here twice to get sushi. I got two different roll's each time and they were so delicious, the atmosphere is great. Every time I'm near this restaurant and I want some sushi I always make sure I come in. more
