The Diner at Main was one of the most pleasant dining experiences I have had in the year '05! After driving around aimlessly on a late Friday night I fell upon this Alhambrian diner. I walked in not knowing what to expect. I took a huge gamble coming in here, as one of my favorite restaurants was just a few blocks down the street. Thankfully the risk paid off. As my expectations were met ten fold. I order the grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies. My oh my!!! The first bite began with a proposal, the last bite ended with culinary matrimony, as my tongue consomated the meat in a tango of digestive love! The server was also quite pleasant. The thing with Main Street is it wants to be Old Pasadena but it doesn't know how. Diner On Main was no expectation. My friends and I decided to try it out because it was new. It has the right ""diner"" look but there is no warmth. The service was downright unexcusable. Hire some professionals and not rude amateurs. For the average price, we paid too much for this bland, tasteless meals. I do not recommend this diner's pie. It tasted store-bought. Their salad and sandwiches should be avoided. Head over to Norm's or Carrows's... they know how to make a real ""diner meal."" Pros: On Main Street, Nice exterior, Average prices Cons: , Bland food, Not worth the price more
