Diesel Repair & Performance

Took my truck there around 10:00 for a tune up and told them I need it back by 3:30. Won't be a problem is what they told me. When I got there after work, they told me it was ready but it was out on a test drive. The guys got back an hour and a half later carrying grocery bags. I checked the odometer and they had put 60 miles on my truck. Some test drive. more

DR&P advertised themselves as having a 6.0L Diesel specialist on staff. After purchasing such a vehicle, I asked DR&P to perform some work on my truck. I was told by both the owner and receptionist that I should return the vehicle and get my money back. I asked three times to speak with Clint, the "6.0L Diesel expert". I was never allowed to talk with him. Instead, they charged me $50 to clear the stored codes out of my truck's computer. The mechanic (not the 6.0L Diesel expert I asked for) spent under 4 minutes on my truck. This amounts to a labor rate of over $750 per hour. DR&P 6.0L diesel expertise amounts to this: "get a different truck". I will NEVER return to DR&P. I am not an uninformed consumer, and was looking to create a longstanding relationship with a local mechanic. I fully expected to have some repairs on this vehicle and have the cash on hand to pay for the work I know I need, and then some. Do NOT take your diesel trucks to this business. Was told $800 in repairs needed in order to pass emissions test. Took my vehicle to another independent station this problem was not indicated. Tested and passed no problem. My reports for 4 years showed very little change. Would stay away from here. The only reason this gets a star is because there is no lower rating! Pros: null Cons: null more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR YOUR EMMISSIONS TEST! They only charge $40.00 for the annual diesel emmissions test but the mechanic attempted to fabricate phony non emmissions related repairs to scam for more money while having your vechicle entered into the Colorado data base as a FAILED and needing RE-TEST to pass! NOT AN HONEST BUSINESS! BE WARNED! more

If you need a diesel mechanic that actually knows what they are doing, look no further. They specialize on Diesel pickups, but will work on anything that run on Diesel. They are also one of the few Diesel emissions testing facilities in this part of the metro area. They will do anything from repairs to performance upgrades to get better power and MPGs! \r \r Tom, the owner/operator is a retired mechanic, but has been known to get under the hood right along with his crew, which are professionally certified.
