With all the bars in this area, why even come here. it's out of control sometimes and really a hang out for kids who just turned 21. I'm way too old and don't need the too-cool-for-school attitude. more

Went to dicks in vegas & i loved it. funny good atmosfere would love to go back. gota admit, it was pricy but the entertainment was good i wish they had a dicks here in LA. more

The absolute worst ever 5/1/2011

This place is supposed to be fun, not at all. If you confuse vulgarity and sexuall verbal abuse for fun then I guess so. Our waiter, Vick, was so personally insulting that my 20 year old daughter would not eat her food, because as she put it " I wouldn't be surprised if these are the kind of people that spit in your food". - Oh, and also, Vick the waiter, had no problem telling us about the sh%@#$y food they served there. Will never ever ever go back. more

Rude & Fun 3/24/2011

Ah, Dick's Last Resort. This place is great if you're looking for a fun/funny night out with friends or for a celebration. The servers really get into character and seem like they enjoy getting into the theme. I love that the whole restaurant has a unified theme, actually - the food is served in metal buckets, the servers throw straws and utensils (folded in napkins) at you, and funny paraphernalia on the walls. The food is pretty good from what I remember..nothing too special or unique, but good enough to go back and eat there multiple times. A bit pricey which is a shame because I don't think the food is all that unique, but I think the inflated price is due to the theme of the restaurant. It's a restaurant I've been to multiple times, but it's more for big groups of friends and is usually a planned thing. Not really a good impromptu place unless you're in the mood for it. more

Check it out for the novelty 6/17/2010

This is definitely a fun place to go if you have a loud big group of people. I loved the novelty of this place. The waiters are known for haggling you and not taking any of your crap. Don't take it personally it's just their motto and if you forget it just read the name of the restaurant again. more

never again 2/15/2010

the ladies bathroom had 2 stalls plugged and overflowed, the stinch was horrible. The server was slow, we were there during the lunch menu, waiting and waiting, until the lunch meun was removed and we were told we had to order off the dinner menu, at a higher price, when the bill came we were overcharged, and the manager was not very accomidating. I went there several years ago and it was great, but the place is not worth it any longer, I'll never go again. Pros: none Cons: filthy bathroom, service sucked more

Okay, it's pretty much known that this place has rude service - mabye they think it's kitchy and charming. The worst part of this place is the insanely obnoxious staff up front whose job it is to holler at people walking by to try to get them to eat there. Seriously, you're embarrassed for them and embarrassed to be sitting there. If the food were awesome, maybe it would be worth it, but... So-So food, fun atmosphere, HORRENDOUS service!! 7/26/2007

Okay, so I have been to Dick's a couple of times and I realize it's their "thing" to have rude servers and its all part of the atmosphere. But seriously, sometimes they really cross the line. First off, when our waiter gave us the bill for a party of 8 he kind of jokingly stated that he "deserved" a 20 dollar tip. Then I realized he hadn't charged me for my soup and I could have easily not paid for it but I believe in Karma so I notified him, at which point he said he could let it slip by if he got a 25 dollar tip. Okay, wtf. The soup was only 4 dollars!!! So not surprisingly, we ended up not giving him a huge tip because he was waaay too pushy and let's face it, the food is not really worth the price anyways. But when he came back to return our cards and whatnot, he loudly remarked to us at how cheap we were for only giving him a 10 percent tip. Seriously, what was he expecting?? Pros: good for groups, ambiance, good band Cons: service, food, prices, cleanliness more

Are you ready for a good time after work? 11/4/2006

This is the place to be after a hard days work. Come here to get the experience that no other restaurant has to offer. Loud, obnactious servers with an attitude! You will have so much fun here you won't believe it. Sit down with a group of friends to drinks, great food, and a lot of mouth between you and the servers. I reccomend asking for Taco as your server... this guy sure knows how to do it up! You will always leave with a smile. more

    Dick's has always been known for its outrageous, surly, and energetic waitstaff who inflict humor upon our guests. Our atmosphere makes everyone feel like they're temporarily breaking all the rules? and getting away with it!
    We have live music every week featuring questionable bands playing classic rock, and there's never a cover charge! You may end up wearing a 2ft tall paper hat complete with a humorous slogan, or doused in a sea of napkins. There's never a dull moment in this 3-ring circus which is exactly how we earned our infamous reputation!

    Expect a semitropical, ultracasual place with tall drinks and no dress code (unless you count Hawaiian shirts, which are encouraged but not required). Popular with tourists, it's also a fave for bachelorette parties and rowdy brunch crowds. The all-purpose, Southern menu is heavy on seafood and barbecue items, many of which are served in stainless steel pails. Choices include shrimp, king crab, ribs, honey-roasted chicken and sides like coleslaw, fries and honey wheat bread.
