Dick's Bicycle Shop

I am usually a very big supporter of local businesses, however, I would love nothing more than if the owner of this shop had to close his doors. I went there with an older Schwinn bicycle to get some information about possible restoration. After the dirty grease pig-man rudely spoke with me for 30 seconds, he walked away to deal with a customer that just walked in. I waited patiently WITH my three children for about ten minutes. He finally looked at me and said, ""So, what do you want to do?"" I told him that I had a couple of questions for him, to which he cut me off and said that he is not going to be able to help me. I then said, ""so you had me wait for ten minutes to tell me that you can't help me?"" He actually replied - ""Yeah well I don't want to serve you, can't you get the hint?"" I am now contemplating contacting my corporate lawyer to find out about some type of discrimination or refusal of service complaint. I do not usually think like this, but I cannot stand to think that this man believes he can just speak however he would like to anybody and never have any consequences. more

This man should take a ride with his own bicycle and kindly remove the seat, and take a ride down a very very long steep Mountain. I never had such a rude person use derogative remarks to me about a simple repair job. I had called to keep local businesses open, but this man needs to close and close Fast!!! The only reason why this business is open is due to it's location, not because of his ethics or kind business manners. For once I wish for high small business taxes !!!!! more

They deserve ZERO stars! HOW on earth is this man in business?! Don't give him a dime of your money! First he hung up on me on the phone and then refused to refund me. His junkie working for him said, ""I'll throw your A$$ outta here."" when I looked to him for help! This is how these idiots treat a woman in their store with her 4 children! Would love to see them go out of business! I feel better seeing 100% lousy reviews----I am sure these buffoons don't even care! Idiots. more

After waiting 20 minutes for the employees to come out of the back room, (they never did), I bought TWO Trek bikes from Bert's for my wife and I. I would have bought them at Dick's, but I'm not going to give over $1000 to ANYONE that treats me that way. I felt like I had a prostate exam from an IRS agent. I've not been this angry since grade school, over 40 years ago. I will now tell EVERYONE I meet about my experience at DICK'S BICYCLE SHOP! Staff completly ignored me. Talking amongst themselves and doing nothing. Dont they want to make a sale? I took my business elsewhere. more

I have heard terrible stories about the rude behavior of these shop owners. Yet with thirty miles left of my 400 mile tour, I broke a spoke. I was less than ten miles away from this Bicycle Shop* so I decided to cruise in for a spoke replacement and wheel truing. Even though they stock mostly toy bikes this job is rather easy stuff for a decent wheelman. After 5-10 minutes of being ignored by shopkeepers (doing nothing), I was asked what I needed. I was told that it would ""take a long time and cost a lot of money"". I decided not to jump on that offer and said ""No thanks"". The do-nothing crew berated and mocked me as I continued out their doors for the last time, simply ignoring the asinine and childish remarks. My guess is that they did not recognize the quality of my bike and they don't care for or know anything about bike touring. If you care about your bike keep it away from these buffoons.
