I contracted with them to do $3500 worth of work in my backyard. They did an area in Chapel Hill gravel which was to be three inches thick and compacted. As soon as the leaves began to fall and I tried to rake or blow the leaves, the gravel was so thin that any movement exposed the dirt underneath. When I tried to work it out with ""Dickie"" he said I probably blew all the gravel away. He would not make it right under any circumstances. I worry about about the warranty they gave me on my two trees and shrubs, as I now know they cannot be trusted. Pros: Nice until you need them to stand behind their work! Cons: Nasty and Dishonest. Very Rude!!! more

If your looking for a nursury with quality products who stands behind their plants, look elsewhere. After purchasing six plants, at an average cost of $26 each, one failed to thrive and died in the Spring. The Nursery then informed us they do not warrant their plants. So, the lesson is to go to a dealer who will stand behind their high prices with a warranty. Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

We are not particularly knowledgeable about plants, but we bought some herbs at a Farmer's Market today, and we were told to replant them in bigger pots, so we went here for supplies. We started poking around, and almost immediately a lady offered to help us. She stuck with us and gave us very specific advice about how to tend to our new plants (and we were advised against buying fertilizer, so clearly she was not trying to get as much money as she could out of us). When I said I wanted a vine, she recommended a lovely Moonflower plant that we are excited about. As we checked out, she told us to call if we had any more questions, and I felt like she really meant it. I saw several other customers who seemed to be treated similarly well. more
