Editorial review from Citysearch 1/28/2013

Had dinner there for the first time and the place was clean the customer service is good but the food was not good. I was also observing a lady preparing the food using the Microwave numerous times. So if you want to eat microwaved food buy a burrito at 7-11 and save some money..... more

Good Burritos 5/19/2010

Used to go here a lot when I would visit LA. The prices are good, the food is pretty good, but the lines can be long. I typically would go after lunch or after the 5-6pm dinner crowd. I like their burritos. more

The Best Wet Burrito in Southern California 3/25/2010

I have been going to Diana's for 15 years. The chicken wet burrito with red sauce is, by far, the best wet burrito I have ever tasted. The tortilla is soft, the marinated chicken is tender, the beans and rice are cooked perfectly, and the red sauce is delicious. This is a WET burrito. The burrito is swimming in tasty red sauce. I guarantee that this is the best wet burrito you will ever eat. The green sauce is great too. I am going right now. You won't be disappointed. Diana's is the best! Pros: The Wet Chicken Burrito with Red Sauce more

The food may be good.... 12/26/2009

If you ever made home made Tamales, you know how much work it is and how much better they are than store bought ones If you ever buy Masa from here, make sure you check your Masa when you get it......one of thier emplyoees gave us forty pounds of Masa and after working all day to make our great home made Tamales, we discovered the Masa they gave us was wrong, Of course it ruined our Tamales a whole day of work, all our meats and Our Christmas!!! Forty pounds of Masa, and all that work wasted. After many unanswered calls, when someone finely called back they offered to give us seven dozen of thier nasty Tamales, after we had made seventeen dozen, at least if they were good tasting and had some meat in them it wouldn't have been so bad , however they would not compensate us for the meat or labor. Pros: good food Cons: Customer satisfaction more

My favorite Mexican Restaurant! 9/24/2009

I grew up eating at this restaurant and, although I dont live in the area anymore, crave their food and still go for my green wet burritos and menudo on Sundays. During the Christmas holidays it gets a little packed. Theres practically a line around the block with people buying tamales or masa to make tamales. Also love the Mexican sweet bread and champurrado. Yummy! Pros: great mexican food, open 24 hours. Cons: ???? more

take it home 2/3/2009

I love this place for catering. Their menu includes servings in the size you need...feed four or 40. Their rice, beans and salsa are good. I often buy them to accompany carne asada that I toss on the grill. more

mexican food 2/3/2009

Must say that they used to be lot better when they weren't as big or busy. They are too much of a fast food type restaurant now. They still make decent Mexican food but have lost their home town feel. more

Most delicioius Mexican food this side of the border! 12/7/2008

I grew up down the street from this total hole-in-the-wall and since then I've moved far far away. BUT let me tell you, nothing compares. I've been to every major city in this country and have still yet to find Mexican done the right way. You better work you thing honey. Work it out all over this damn town! The tamales are more addictive than heroin and pills combined. The bean and cheese burritos give me shock waves down there and FYI they don't give you gas afterwards either. Thats a sign of true greatness!! This should be a national landmark! All this talk is making want to go there. See you there!!! Pros: Location, parking, food Cons: its far way from the big city. more

The only mexican place close by.... 9/25/2006

The service is terrible... the food is very salty, the long lines are not becuase the food is great its becuase Dianas is the only mexican restaurant near by.... Unless you go to El Burrito Jr on Lomita and Western now thats great homemade mexican food chips included not like Dianas I even have to pay for the damn tortillas. PROS: Its nice from the outside... CONS: The food takes too long by the time we get the food lunch is over. more

The best Mexican food without going to Abuela's House 7/11/2006

I live in the Atlanta area now and the thing I miss most of home is the weather and the AWESOME food from the great eaterys in Los Angeles. Diana's is by far one of the GREAT jewels in the South Bay. Tucked away in Carson it is truly a place to go when you really crave authentic Mexican flavor without going to grandma's cocina. They get it to you ALWAYS hot ,fresh, and in a timely manor. The staff is always courteous and pleasant and eager to help you. If you are not familiar with Diana's I honestly recommend that the next time you have a craving for honest to God great Mexican food you take a trip down to Carson and give them a taste. Pros: Plenty of parking, plenty of service, lots of great food!!! more

Authentic Mexican! 5/5/2005

It's not wonder Diana's has lines forming outside the restaurant because it is by far the best authentic mexican food restaurant this side of town. Prices are unbeatable with tons of food selections from breakfast to lunch to dinner. Customers are loyal and they keep coming back so be surprised to be waiting in line for a while but the food is totally worth the wait. The wet burrito with red sauce and a cold glass of horchata make a perfect combination. more

Not that great 7/11/2004

My husband and I were staying in Carson for the weekend while visiting Catalina and decided to try out Diana's due to all the great reviews. I got the carne asada red wet burrito and my husband got the chicken molte wet buttito. Mine was good but we have a restaurant around our house where it's much better. My husband loved his burritto though, so maybe your better off with the molte style. The ambience was lacking. It was a cafeteria style eating environment. Diana is the owners daughter and was Miss California in 88, so looking at all those pictures was neat. Beware of the Police who are writing tickets to patrons for jaywalking. (the parking for the restaurant is acrossed the street) They have just put in a crosswalk...use it. All in f you are in the area stop by. If not don't make a special trip. Pros: inexpensive, molte wet burritto more

Yummmy!!! 7/3/2004

This place is an institution in southern california mexican food. It's a small, casual place that is always packed and is open 24 hours a day seven days a week. At christmastime the lines of people buying tamales and masa go around the block. And, although all of their food is good, I always end up ordering their green salsa wet burritos. Yummmy!!! I've sinced moved to the west hollywood area and can't seem to find anything like it :( Pros: FOOD!, Wet Burritos!!! more

Absolutely Addicting! 6/6/2003

I grew up a few blocks away from this place and now that I'm living 400 miles away I cannot find any Mexican food food that is up to par with Diana's. I've even gotten my b/f addicted to it, as we make a stop there everytime we're in the area. Everything I've ever tasted from their menu has been deeeeelicious....mouth-watering green wet burritos, crispy beef tacos, yummy menudo served on weekends. It's a great and inexpensive casual meal. I'm gonna have to plan a trip out to So Cal soon! Pros: Great Prices, Casual, Ample Parking more

The B-O-M-B!!! 11/24/2002

This is the absolute bomb mexican restaurant. Those damn wet burritos are addicting, especially the green one. All the food is jammin but I always order the same thing, Green Wet Burrito and a Orange Bang. My whole family and friends have been going here my whole life basically. It doesn't get any better. Pros: Taste, Portions, Chips and Salsa Cons: Busy, Not near my house more
