***READ THIS*** If You Are Thinking of Doing Business With DFW Stoneworks! I came across DFW Stoneworks at the Las Colinas Home and Garden show this January 12, 2013. The package was amazing and a little scary because the deal was so great! We searched online for reviews at the show on DFW Stoneworks and the large numbers of positive reviews made us feel comfortable to move forward. We made the decision to purchase at the event, which for my family is not normal, fortunately I have some idea of granite pricing and “other fee’s” the granite business has inherently required. For example, the sink hole cut outs and polishing, edging, demolition of the old counter tops, etc… The package DFW Stoneworks promoted saved us around $1,900.00 more than Home Depot and two other companies had previously bid. In addition, DFW Stoneworks excessively outlined the project, terms and pricing on paper in which was refreshing to see as an experienced engineer. I am happy to report that as of January 22, 2013 our project is completely installed. My wife and I can enjoy our new luxurious kitchen! Dealing with DFW Stoneworks was a real pleasure. We highly recommend them for anyone looking for their own dream kitchen! more

This is the worst and most unprofessional business in DFW. To call them 3rd rate is an overstatement. Do not waste your time. more

Phenomenal Attention to Detail!! 5/14/2012

My husband and I just had our beautiful new granite countertops installed by DFW Stoneworks, and I can’t illustrate how great the whole experience was! The end result was way better than we could have ever imagined. And our experience through the entire process was done with such care and compassion! We worked with Brian; he was very knowledgeable and available whenever we had questions. He explained everything in detail without a hitch. Even with our busy schedule, they were always on time for their appointments. Their quote was way better than previous ones we had received. We received the best customer service we have had in years! The installation went smoothly and we couldn’t be more satisfied! I would recommend DFW Stoneworks to anyone wanting a job well done! more

Words cannot even begin to describe how amazing DFW Stoneworks is! With so many choices it was hard to choose, but in the end everything came together and matched perfectly! Their amazing attention to detail is what really made my wife and I happy. Our kitchen has never looked so good. I had the best customer service I've had in years! Being very new to the whole re-modeling thing, I cannot thank them enough for their phenomenal support they gave. Their installers were courteousness and very professional. Everything was done in a timely manner. The quality of the granite was top of the line. Everything fit perfectly into our budget and we couldn't be more satisfied! I would highly recommend them to anyone! more

Horrible Customer Service & Professionalism 3/23/2012

My husband and I recently had new granite countertops installed by DFW Stoneworks, using the Groupon that was listed in November. Thankfully, the end result was satisfactory however, our experience through the entire process starting in early November through completion was a total disappointment; lacking in professionalism, customer service, and communication. ~They didn't keep us apprised of appointment times, we had three appointments where Ryan did not show up when he was supposed to, two of which had to be completely rescheduled. At no time during the scheduled appointments were we notified he was running late. Eventually we asked that we be contacted when someone from DFW Stoneworks was on their way. Also, employees generally did not return calls when they said they would. ~During our scheduled appointment for measurements, Ryan and Brian used standard measuring tools, but also used paper and mail we had laying on our countertop to take measurements. I believe this resulted in one of the countertop sections being cut too small and requiring the installers to leave the jobsite to manufacture a new piece. DFW Stoneworks leaves all installation prep up to the customer. They do not hang any plastic over cabinets or doorways, they also do not lay any paper down on the floor to minimize the dust and debris. ~We also found communication within the company and between us unsatisfactory. We called DFW Stoneworks to ask about pricing and were referred to their price sheet online, they didn't offer any additional information until they show up for an appointment. A DFW Stoneworks representative should be available and knowledgeable to explain your products and procedures. ~DFW Stoneworks seems to work very late hours, expecting customers to work around DFW Stoneworks hours. The installers were at our house until after 8:00pm on installation day, without asking if it was ok. ~Additional, during the initial estimate appointment with Fraun and Rhonda we were told that DFW Stoneworks would use scrap pieces of granite for the bar backsplash and kitchen window sill since they were such small areas and said there wouldn’t be a charge for those items. However, when Ryan came for final measurements he measured those areas and charged for them. To add to that we were charged for a 4” backsplash on the bar with the intent to angle the edges so they would not stick out over the bar, however only a 3” backsplash was installed, with no angling. (We were over charged for a back splash.) ~During installation Brian, the representative in charge of the job, was not available, and did not touch base with us at any point during the installation to ask if things were going ok or when he was going to come to collect final payment. Brian came to collect final payment on 3/2/2012, he requested $850.00, and later that evening he called back and said he was unaware of the additional $259.24 we still owed. We did send in this payment and we owe DFW Stoneworks nothing. ~Lastly on installation day the installers placed the faucet into the hole drilled for it, and left the box for us to complete installation. When my husband went to finish it, he realized there was a missing part. So we called DFW Stoneworks it get the missing part along with an installation guide. Ryan said he would contact the faucet company and would call us back the next day. Two days later we still had not received a return call from Ryan and called him to find out what was going on. This is when he informed us that we would have to take the faucet out and take it ourselves to the faucet company to exchange it. ~Finally, we wrote DFW Stoneworks explaining our negative experience with them and have not heard back from them, not even a simple letter of apology. They are obviously a company with poor customer service and complete lack in professionalism, especially after we spent an additional $4000 with them. I would not hire them again or recommend them. more

My kitchen has never looked better 3/21/2012

My neighbor just had her kitchen remodeled and it looks fabulous! I have wanted to put granite counter tops in my kitchen for years, and thought it was too expensive. She gave me the name of the company, which is DFW Stoneworks. A designer came to my home and showed me different granite tiles so that I could see how they looked with my cabinets. I thought for sure it was going to be out of my budget, but it wasn’t! I now have granite counter tops, under cabinet lighting, and a beautiful backsplash. I highly recommend this company. more

DFW Stoneworks has bad business practices 3/13/2012

I found this company at the Home and Garden show in Mar 2012. I had to pay $199 to recieve a quote. This was the first thing I didn't like. The lady who was helping me was suppose to come to my house and take measurments. She was 30 min late showing up. She then told me that we would go to the granite yard so I could pick out the granite I wanted and she would hold it for me until I can pay 60%. \r \r We went to the granite yard on a saturday and she was sick and I was skeptical at that point thinking she shouldn't be helping me and I wished she had pushed me off on someone else who wasn't sick and could help me. I then picked out the granite I wanted after about an hour and she wrote up a 2nd quote since I had changed my mind on the granite color from the original quote. \r \r A few days go by and I don't hear from her. This is actually normal because I always had to contact her to get anything done. She then calls me and tells me she made a mistake on the 2nd granite quote and that the granite will be actaully $800 more. I was very upset at this point. She made the mistake, not me. So therefore they changed the price on me. I wasn't okay with this. I expressed my concern as well as my take on the price change and she first said that she would honor the original price but she never did. She said they can't eat the cost of the granite. But my whole point was that she made a written quote plus she took my $199 for this and then changed the price. I have tried to contact her to get my money back and she would not cooperate with me. I then contacted her manager and he won't return my calls or emails. All I want is my money back after the bad business practices.\r \r I would never recommend this company to anyone. They don't stand behind their word. more
