they staff is super nice and they will be more than happy to accomodate you if you have a food allergy, I am lactose intolerant and they made me a special pizza with no cheese or milk products at all(which, almost half of all doughs and sausages, pepperonis, and other processed foods have dairy in them). it is a bit expensive but well worth it more

TravelPro 4.5/5. 8/14/2011

Excellent but a bit pricey more

The best pizza in Cincinnati 2/20/2010

Crust is the foundation in a pizza. Hands down this is the best Cincinnati pizza you will find! It would stand up to the top 10 in the country, in my view! Cincinnati is lucky to have it! Pros: quality Cons: non more

Great pizza - best in Cincinnati 10/5/2009

Simply excellent Pros: Quality ingredients, great sauce/cheese Cons: Sometimes hard to get a table more

the best as always 8/2/2009

Never fails to impress. always the best pizza in the city, service superb, handles large tables well. Excellent salads Pros: always delicious Cons: parking, toddlers running loose while parents gab and drink more

Fresh.... but NOT great 4/24/2009

I can see why there are so many good reviews: it is a pleasant atmosphere that I enjoyed myself at... I had a good time. The food I put in my mouth, however, was refreshing.... but not inspiring. Oh what a little extra garlic would have done, or some oregano, thyme, cayenne pepper, smoke, FIRE, SPICES. It didn't seem like this place did anything other than pickup some fresh produce and put it on a good dough. The cheeses are nothing to drool over, nothing of notable quality; and the pairing of flavors leaves a lot to be desired. Of the three pizzas I tried, they were all lacking in complexity of flavor and originality. If you go, you'll have a good time, but don't expect to be wowed if you really value what you choose to consume. The most bang-for-your-buck, I would say, comes from the red sauces though. Pros: Fresh ingredients, nice atmosphere, good service, good beer Cons: No Originality, lacking complexity in flavors and recipes more

Good Pizza but not the Best in Cincinnati 10/21/2008

I have had an inconsistent experience with Dewey's - sometimes good, sometimes not that great. It's convenient b/c there are several locations, and good to visit with a group of people. more

The Best Pizza....Plus. 10/10/2008

The freshest, best tasting ingredients on the the best, hand-tossed crust, served hot by friendly, attentive people who seem to like their job. This is actually my favorite pizza--not just here but anywhere. We discovered it at the Dayton location (UD area) and haven't been disappointed at other Dewey's restaurants. That would be enough to keep me coming back, but there's more. Like salads (esp. the Greek) that you would be happy with in a fine-dining restaurant; an excellent selection of draft beers and ales not usually found in a pizzeria--not even close to the Bud-Bud Light-Coors-Coors Light-Miller-Miller Lite-and-on-and-on carbonated water you will usually find; they even have some first-rate, moderately priced wines, obviously carefully selected. Lots of people like the big chain pizza or standby La Rosa's. I prefer the good stuff. Pros: The best pizza and the best food and beverage you'll find at a pizza place. Cons: It's not cheap, but I don't really call that a con; You can't make good, fresh pizza for a nickel. more

Great pizza, pizza! 8/4/2006

This is what pizza should be like. Worth the cost and the wait. THe sauce is not too heavy and the topping selections are numerous and really fresh. SOOOOOOO GOOOOOD! Pros: Food and service more

Some of the best pizza in Cincy 1/17/2006

This is probably one of the best pizza joints in Cincinnati, 10X better then overated LaRosas. Definatly worth checking out for some great pizza! I do wish they had some appetizers , their menu is very limited (except for the pizza). A Great resturant for kids. Pros: great pizza, atmosphere Cons: $$$ more

LOVED IT!!! 7/11/2005

I am from Philadelphia, PA, I was visiting friends of mine from the area and they suggested that we go to Deweys. Let's just say I wish there was a Deweys in Philly. I tried the Edgar Allen Poe, it was excellent!!! Service was excellent, and we were there when it was very busy, we did have to wait a few minutes before we were seated, but well worth the wait. It was obviously the place to be! I can't wait to go back to get more! Pros: great service Cons: small tables more

best PiZZa in the Tri-State 4/26/2005

My favorite thing about Dewey's pizza is the option for the white sauce instead of pizza sauce. I also love their greek salad and dressing. I read a lot of complaints regarding parking -- if you go to Deweys, try the one at Newport on the Levee. I also like the smoke-free atmosphere. On the weekends it can get busy, but when you have the best pizza around that's to be expected! Pros: unique flavor, reasonable price, awesome service more

Simply The BEST 3/31/2005

I have dined at every Dewey's in Cincinnati and have yet to be anything but extremely pleased. Their unique (at least for Cincinnati) Pizzas are perfect! Perfect Crust, Perfect Toppings, Perfect Service and finally, Hot food that is actually served HOT! Their Socrates Revenge is my favorite but I would still be pleased even if they mixed up the order (which, by the way, they have never done). You've Got to try Dewey's. Pros: Great preparation , Great variety, Fast friendly service more

Never been let down! 1/20/2005

I visit Dewey's once a week AT LEAST and have yet to have a bad experience! Sure, parking can be tricky and the waiting space isn't huge but they do that on purpose! Dewey's is meant to be a small, energetic and cozy place. I think it lives up to its goals! The pizza is always amazing and the varieties are endless. The staff is friendly and the service is incredible- your glass is NEVER empty! Parking and the weekend wait is inevitable almost anywhere but I would rather do this at Dewey's than any other place because the end result is AWESOME pizza and a great atmosphere! Pros: Great prices., Great food., Great service. more

Yum! 4/21/2004

Dewey's has great food - and you can choose from a broad palette of ingredients to customize your own pizza or calzone. The service is always fast and friendly. You may have to wait awhile for a table during the lunch or dinnertime rush, so plan to dine a bit later, AFTER the hungry crowd has moved on. Pros: Great quality, Fantastic service, convenient location more

OverRated 7/18/2003

Dewey's Pizza is one the most overrated restaurants I have visited. The pizza was no better than can found at the local chains. The parking was horrible. There is very limited waiting area, but it is not common to have to wait an hour. more
