I had a roof leak that caused damage to a room in the top floor, and we didn't notice it, until we decided to open the damaged wall to fix it. (By the way, the roof was inspected only 3 months apriori for any possible cracks)
I called many roofers, but Devito Roofing was the only company to respond. The co-owner, Louis, came with his crew and within 30minutes finished what I thought fixing the roof. Louis appears to be knowledgeable about roofing. I was so happy with their professionalism and their response time, that I requested a quote for a new roof. Little did I know that the roof will still be leaking in the same place few weeks later.
Few weeks later, we had flurry (very little snow),and rain and we noticed wet flooring the same place where the roof was fixed. I called Mr. Devito, who came the next day with no tools to check it out. He went on the roof, checked the seam where the gutter and the roof meet, and stated that the problem cannot be the roof. My question is how can we have water in the same place as before when we had the leak?
His theory was that we had a crack in the wall connected to the neighbor roof. He will check it as soon as I get the neighbor to allow us to go through her property. I got the authorization and then I called him to inform him that he can come. He stated that he will check the weather and call me the next day.
The next day, I received no-calles, so I called him mid-day to find out when he was coming. Apparently, my work is not a priority for him, as he stated that he will come on Monday.
Last night it rained, and a lot of water came and kept on damaging the carpet. I still believe the cause is the roof. It hasn't been fixed properly.
Now, I lost confidence on Devito Roofing. Most importantly, I have to fix again ceilings, floorings, and may have to open the wall again to ensure no mold will grow just because my roof wasn't patched properly the first time.
