Horrible I wouldn't recommend these 11/16/2012

Horrible I wouldn't recommend these people to my worst enemy. Cars look good on the outside but you get stuck with a Lemon. Car have/still have terrible electric problems. What was I thinking putting $2000 down for a 2000 year model car my first time financing sure would be my last no way should a car note be $400 for such a older car. Had to get the radio fixed myself didn't work when I first got the car. Car cut off on me 3 days after I got it. Should of took that piece of bs back and demanded I want my money back. Now I'm stuck in an up-side down situation more

Horrid credit? 10/14/2011

If you're credit is bad enough where you can't get a car anywhere, then this place is great. Expensive...but great. And if you bought a crap car, maybe you should research the car before you buy it? If you can't get approved by anyone then this is best place. Better than buying a 2000 dollar rust bucket... more

The Worst Ever 12/14/2010

I bought a Kia sedona and come to find out the the alternator was bad and battery, supposedly replaced the battery so the vehicle would run once off the lot but that was about it. We drove it for 2 weeks on had to start jump starting it. we took it in to one of their repair shops where they replaced the alternator but not the battery ...duh...also had to have front bearings done...drove for prob another week and had to start jumping it again everyday, called the manager Eugene and he gave us another shop to call and said they will come pick it up because now it wont run at all. They bring tow truck to take to their shop in garden city. when finished they told us we owed over $300.00. We then called Eugene back and told him we shouldnt be responsible for the cost since it hasn't ran right since we got it and he said he couldnt do anything about it even though we have puchased the extended warranty. Eugene then conceeded and said the only thing we have to pay then is the cost of towing. when Eugene told me to call the repair place that they would come and get the vehicle i assumed the towing woud be covered, had i known i could have used my AAA. so this is where we stand right now still owing the amount for the towing in which now i am getting in touch with Eugenes suupervisor about this matter as well. more

STAY AWAY!!! 7/27/2010

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! The cars look good on the outside but as soon as you drive off the lot, it falls apart!!! I bought a van from them and it broke down so many times the first few weeks I had it, I returned it! The Finance manager is rude and unprofessional, I wouldn't be surprised if this dealer was to close down very soon! Again, STAY AWAY FROM DETROIT 2 IN TAYLOR MICHIGAN!!! Cons: WORSE DEALERSHIP EVER more

Schemers 7/20/2010

This place is a joke, I wish i would have done my homework on them, but i didn't so yes I'm to blame also. The car I was approved for was only 7,000 by the time they were done it had doubled, they wait all the way to the end to show you your monthly car note just a horrible experience there's always something needed to be done on my car, the warranty they give you or should i say charge you for doesn't cover nothing but they will sit there and tell you they cover almost everything so not true..... It was my first time buying a car I will say they woke me up to be aware of the schemers.... I wouldn't recommend anyone to them.... Pros: Yeah you will be approved but beware!!! Cons: Everything more

Ticked off 6/23/2010

I bought a intrepid and come to find out the year of the 2002 the engine blows up and what save me was the finance company where I was able to give the car back and get my down payment. But I still lost. I fix the air conditioner and got a oil change before I had to return the car. I give them a minus 5 Pros: Nothing Cons: Selling lemons and not stopping more

A lot better than I expected 12/18/2007

I heard some bad things about this dealer but it was not true. I went down there to get a car because a salesman from another dealer (where I got turned down) told me I could get a car without a cosigner. I went down there expecting to get turned down again, but I was wrong. The guys at Detroit 2 got me approved BY MYSELF!!! I had to come up with about 1200 but I drove off in an 04 Impala. I have had it now for 7 months and all I have had to do was give it a 20 dollar oil change. Everyone there is friendly and they dont just try and sell you a car, they try and teach you about credit. Pros: A ton of cars, well over 100 Cons: A little far from the city, about 20 minutes more

Helped me keep my job. 12/12/2007

The guys at Detroit II on Ford Road really helped me out. My car had broken down on me and I needed one to get back and forth to work every day. All I had was 800 bucks, they got me into a nice Grand Prix and I was able to get to my job on monday. Not only did they get me into a car the same day I came in but when it came down to insurance they referred me to the place across the street and I got insurance cheaper than anywhere around. These guys are great everyone was friendly, and the manager Chuck really made me feel like he cared about my situation. If you are in a bind this is the place to go. Pros: They have a huge selection of vehicles no matter what you like Cons: The whole process took about an hour more

Detroit II on Ford Rd/Middlebelt - Garden City 11/29/2007

This place is a joke! Yeah, they will approve anyone for a car (this is the only positive thing esp if you NEED a car) BUT watch out - they will sell you junk! The two posters above me are right on about the inspection. They DO NOT inspect the cars. They will send a nice little family on their way with a piece of junk car that will end up breaking down or causing an accident (someone might even die) and they don't care. They just want money. more

Avoid this Detroit II 7/16/2007

I bought a 2000 Expedition XLT from them. Before purchasing it it had some issues...Cd changer did not work which i brought up to them( they told me they ordered it and it was out of stock and that when it came in they would put it in ) Yeah right, it never came in, I contstantly went up there, after all the run around they finally told me they never ordered it and it was my problem to fix, which I was told they would replace it when I bought it. Then, the truck had a cracked grill...they ordered it, 4 months later it arrived and it took them 4 hours to install the grill and it wasn't even the correct one, it was one from an explorer...so it looked really messed up when they put it on. Also, not even a month after I bought the truck it was in the shop to replace the whole Front end...balls joints, tie rods, idle and pitman arms, tie rod ends, bushings. $1000 front end job. So, it is clear they do not safety inspect their vechiles like they say they do...My wheel fell off while driving one day!!!!!!!! more

Wonderful Experience 9/20/2006

I had a great experience at Detroit II. I bought a 2004 Impala with low miles and I have not had a problem. My car is wonderful and the service was great. I dealt with the manager Tasha and she was so sweet. She went out of her way to make me happy and make sure everything went smooth. I have referred 4 of my friends to her and they all have had a great experience. One of my friends wanted a specific car that they didn't have and she went and found one just for him. Pros: They finance anyone. Even with bad credit. Cons: The coffee was too strong.... more

Detroit II Automobiles on Telegraph Rd in Taylor 7/24/2006

They never check their cars out. Everyone I know who has bought from them their vehicle reamins in the shop more than driven. My husband bought a vehicle from them and it has been in the shop 5 times in a year (Dodge Durango). We paid 1600.00 for a warranty that won't cover anything. We were told we would just have $100 deductible. I have yet to pay just 100.00. The warranty was supposed to be for 2 yrs and now they are saying we went over in miles. It had 90,000 on it when purchased and it has 111,000 now so they won't cover it. Buyer beware they sell unchecked out cars. Within 2 weeks of purchasing it was in the shop the first time. They overcharge on their vehicles. Yes they say they guarantee financing but i guess you get what you pay for JUNK!!! Also you can buy a new vehicle or almost new for the prices they want. We could have got a brand new Durango for what we are paying. Pros: The only positive thing is they approve anyone even with bad credit. Cons: The cars are not worth the money and spend more time in the shop. more
