Dr. Moreau and his staff of doctors and office staff are incompetent and don't care about the animals. They have misdiagnosed 3 of my pets and allowed another to die without a dia...

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VET CLINIC! DR MOREAU AND HIS STAFF CARE DEEPLY ABOUT THE CARE OF THE PETS AND TRY TO MAKE EVERY VISIT FOR MY PETS AS STRESS FREE AS POSSIBLE. MY KITTEN HAD TO BOARD FOR SEVERAL DAYS AND ONE OF THE TECHNICIANS LITERALLY BUILT A JUNGLE GYM IN HER CAGE SO THAT SHE COULD ENTERTAIN HERSELF :) MY SISTERS DOG HAD TO HAVE SURGERY THERE AND WHEN SHE WENT TO CHECK ON HIM THEY HAD PILLOWS AND BLANKETS LAID OUT IN HIS CAGE TO KEEP HIM COMFY :) THEIR PRICES ARE ABSOLUTELY UNBEATABLE AND THE EXPERIENCE IS ALWAYS A PLEASANT ONE. I'VE GONE TO THIS VET FOR 15 YEARS AND HAVE NOT ONE COMPLAINT. NOT ONE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!! JUST LOVE DR MOREAU AND ALL HIS WONDERFUL STAFF!!!!!!!!!!!! more

DO NOT bring your pets to this vet. Dr. Moreau is very unprofessional, his staff was did not care for my pets while they were bored there and they return my animal bed soaked in urine and feces. After several attempts to get some form of compensation, Dr. Moreau personally called me, did not let me speak, was very rude and then proceeded to hang up in my face. I will be reporting him to the Louisiana State Bord of Veterinarians for animal cruelty and the BBB. Very Very Very Unprofessional!!!! more

PLEASE HELP: looking for a certain employee 6/5/2010

Not sure what her name is..but if anyone that works at Destrehan Animal Hospital reads this, I am trying to contact a girl who has worked there since before Katrina. I know she has boxers. Reason I am looking for her is because a rescue was brought in and was to be put down (a fancy fawn boxer male) They called him Rocky...his name was changed to Micah. I adopted him at Petsmart but was able to meet her when we brought him in for his last demodex treatment. I want to share pictures of him with her and let her know he is still doing WONDERFUL!!! He is extremely smart and well trained. He is still VERY much loved and I can't tell her enough how much I appreciate her wanting to give him a chance at life.....it was a life worth saving!!! Best vet around! 1/24/2010

I love Dr. Moreau. He is the most genuinely caring vet, and probably all around decent man I have ever met.. He is patient and understanding and truly loves animals. He worked with me when one of my rescued cats needed surgery, and I was unable to afford it. There are not many people in his profession, or in the medical field period, who would be so generous and kind. I owe Dr. Moreau a great debt of gratitude and I will always bring my pets back to him. Competent Veteranarians & Staff 2/8/2008

My veteranarian is connected with this clinic. Both my dogs were treated here for surgery and had competent care. I had no touble whatsoever from this business and would recommend their use. CARING TOWARDS PETS 2/22/2007

I HAVE USED THIS VET PRACTICE FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. I HAVE BEEN TO OTHER VET OFFICES AND DR. MOREAU AND HIS STAFF ARE IN A TOTALLY DIFFIERNT LEAGUE. THE PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE IN COMPARISON TO OTHER VET OFFICES. I HAVE BROUGHT MY DOG TO BANFIELD IN KENNER AND WAS VERY UNSATISFIED. THEY PUT MY MINI CHORKY IN THE TOP KENNEL AND DIDN'T LOCK IT. NEEDLESS TO SAY SHE FELL OUT. THANK GOD SHE IS OKAY. I AM RETURNING TO DESTRAHAN ANIMAL HOSPITAL. WITH BOTH OF MY DOGS. Vet who is incompetent 4/13/2006

Dr. Moreau and his staff of doctors and office staff are incompetent and don't care about the animals. They have misdiagnosed 3 of my pets and allowed another to die without a diagnosis.
