First of all, they were all very professional. Sara came out to our home in Florida, and I am not so artistic, so I had no idea what I wanted to do with the windows. She gave me great ideas for making things look lighter and brighter. When I placed the order, I was in New York, so I had to rely on a good liaison through email, and everything went really well. It was simple and there were no hassles, which is import to me. The installer, Dave, was excellent, and the finished product was wonderful. My experience with the The Design Emporium was very good. more

Sara, at The Design Emporium, is wonderful. It is not the first time she has come to our home. Orlando is pretty big, and it is a 45 minutes drive from her place to our home. We only had a small project, but she didn't mind. She came over, followed through, and did a beautiful job. When we had another small job it was the same thing. She has done mostly Hunter Douglas window treatments for us. Now we are working on a bed spread situation, and I have the utmost confidence that it will be a wonderful job when it is done. Sara has been around for a long time, and she knows so much. The installer for the window treatments, David, has been with her forever, which speaks volumes for them both. It is not just the purchase, but the installation is critical too, and David is excellent. They work very well together. It is very nice to find people I have complete confidence in. She is a small business owner, so I am dealing directly with her. She knows her business. It has been a very good experience overall. more

I have been using The Design Emporium for at least 12 years. They have the most unique paper, and they offer a good price. They measure accurately and they are always timely. Sara knows her products really well and it is quality stuff. She makes recommendations and guides you. She will come to your home to look at what kind of choices you have made and she is a real designer. She studies the choices you have made before she makes her determinations. She does not try to sell to you, she tries to help. I could not be more happy with her service. more

Sara, at The Design Emporium, tried to find fabric for a bedspread to match my existing bedroom set. She found the material. When I wanted to redo some pillows with coordinating fabric I went to The Design Emporium. Sara pulled out books for me with colors and fabrics to choose from. Sara was in direct coordination with me and the companies making the pillows and bedspread to make sure that I was satisfied. She is very accommodating, and will work hard to make sure to satisfy the customer. She assured me that if I wasn't happy with something, it would be taken care of. more

I purchased graber verticals from Sara Monahan (The Designer/Owner)some time in 2009. My visit at The Design Emporium was a very pleasant and informative one. My new verticals have enhanced the look of my entire home. I found Mrs. Monahan to be extremely well versed in her knowledge of blinds, as well as wall paper and fabrics. I intend to go back to The Design Emporium for wall paper for my living room and dining room in the near future. more

I was having a difficult time finding someone to just do what I was asking them, which was custom bedding, when I came across Sara at the Design Emporium. I made an appointment with her, and she came to my house. I liked Sara's presence. She was very thorough. She knew what questions to ask in order to get the information that she needed from me. She has old-school customer service, which is comforting, especially for someone who is looking to do what I wanted. Whatever I wanted she made it happen; she delivered. I wanted to see some fabric for the curtains before I committed to purchasing it, so she ordered just a yard so that we could hold it up to the walls and look at it. I am very pleased. Sara did what you would expect out of good customer service, but it was surprising because you don't find that anymore. Her customer service was second to none. The initial call was for custom bedding and window treatment, but I liked her so much that we did custom drapery and rods in the living and dining rooms. I would not hesitate to use her again or recommend her to anyone. Sara's customer service sets her apart from anyone else out there. more

I have gone to The Design Emporium twice to get help from Sara in selecting wallpaper. Both times she has done an excellent job of helping me in my selection. This last time my husband hates it, but I absolutely love the wallpaper. If you are looking for wallpaper, she is the person to go to. Because of her design background, she offers good, informed suggestions. more
