Superior Service @ Design 101 Interiors 9/28/2010

The minute I walked through the doors, I had the most amazing experience. The designers were super helpful and I was able to complete our re-model in no time with very little bumps in the road, so to speak. They take care of all the little details so you don't have to. If I had to do it over, I would definitely use their design services without question. They just moved the showroom to Los Gatos near many of my friends and will be very busy with referals! more

Design on a dime 7/25/2009

I had a very small kitchen and was looking to make it bigger and I started looking for some help and I came across design 101. they came to my house and we came up with 3 options for my new kitchen I told them i had a budget i had to stick to and they made it work. they all did a wonderful job, I would use them again and will if i have another project I want to do Pros: Great options more

My wife and I went into Design 101 just to look at cabinets for our new kitchen remodel we were planning. We were pleasantly surprised about how big the showroom actually is. We were greeted by one of their designers and we felt very comfortable right from the start. Over the next several weeks, we met numerous times and came up with a design and build that fit right into our budget. The team of contractors and designers worked hand in hand to get our job complete and on time wtihin our budget! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to remodel. I was looking to remodel my house and was visiting a friend of mine in Los Gatos and she mentioned a design store called design 101 I took my wife and she fell in love with the place. They did some drawings for us and we used them to get other quotes for the project and out of the 3 quotes we got design 101 had the most complete quote and gave us a detailed schedule for the project and showed us where we could even save money, they really love what they do and it shows in the final result. We love our new kitchen and master bathroom. My wife and I highly recommend them. Pros: Put the customer first more

I think they have a bunch of single designers looking for rich husbands. I had a bad experience with Loren flirting with my husband, my husband told me 'over the top"" flirting in his exact words. They probably do fine work but at what cost, our marriage? We cancelled all future appointments. more

Use them only if you can actively manage their project and have all the money in the world 12/22/2006

They have great designs and ideas but the process is just awful. Everything from nickle and diming you on design issues to lack of follow-up. They get involved in offering (thus getting building in a profit for themselves) and ordering the granite, floors, and other items but will not manage or coordinate those trades and make it your problem. The billing is also bad. You have to look over everything and often there are mistakes. If it wasn't for my contractor who jumped in to help (even though he was not responsible for that part of the job or got paid) this project would had been taking twice as long and looked twice as bad. Pros: good design ideas Cons: pricey, bad follow-up, missing details more
