Not from this end of town but took sister for a well needed pampering pick-me-up as she had been before and enjoyed it. Nice pampering yet the staff is who sold me. Kudos to you girls! Pros: great services and friendly attentive caring staff Cons: pricier but still reasonable value for what you get more

Great Salon! 3/22/2010

For anyone looking for a new place to color, cut and inspire you, this is great. Plus you can buy the amazing products by Bumble & Bumble. Their thickening shampoo and cream rinse has been amazing to control for my fairly think, curly and super fine hair. Extremely expensive, but a little goes a long way. They also have a new super hold hair spray that works great in the humid Michigan summers. more

The nicest of the 3 Design One Spas 7/15/2007

I have been and had services done at all 3 Design One locations. To me, the Plainfield location is the most luxurious. During my previous visits, I've had massages, pedicures, manicures, facials, and my hair highlighted, cut, and trimmed. By far, my favorite service is the pedicure and I've had various technicians, each and every one of them professional and did a wonderful job. The pedi chairs are wonderful, fully cusioned, with massage options. It used to be a private room where you'd receive your pedi but since they have remodeled, you may be in a room with up to 3 other clients. If you are looking for more privacy, I've heard that Tuesday evenings are slower than the rest of the week. more

Excellent Day Spa 11/8/2005

Design 1 Salon and Day Spa is an excellent place to go. A few years ago my husband bought me a half day delight (Hint for those husbands out there reading this) It was heaven. I was very nervious about doing the full body massage but it was so professional. My half day at the spa was beyond fantastic. The employee's are extremely nice and helpful. more

Wonderful Spa 11/3/2005

Although I have not used this salon for my hair, I have been there for a manicure and also a massage. The massage was the best I have ever had. I highly recommend them! Great place for a day of pampering. We have also bought my Mom gift certificates for here and she always enjoys them. PROS: Numerous services offered CONS: more

This is a great salon. They do a great job on your hair no matter what you have done to it!! Prices are a little high on some things. Staff is great, highly recommended. They are also a day spa, so you can go there and relax while getting a massage or something. more

Great Hair Salon 8/26/2005

If you are looking for a great place to get your hair done, check out design 1, they do everything, cut, color, highlight, style. THey do a great job, you won't be let down. They are also a day spa. The whole staff is great, and the salon looks so modern inside!! more
