First off, the food is excellent. However, at what point do you say ""enough is enough."" I was looking forward to having dinner here with my family for my brother's birthday. We made reservations and had a wonderful view of the swamp. Unfortunately the weather was horrible and caused a member of our party to run late on arriving. Upon arriving, he kindly asked the hostess where his party was sitting, only to be answered by ""your reservation was at 5:30 and I need that table by 7:30 (very rudely)."" That was uncalled for. As he joined us at the table, we discovered that the hostess was also mean and rude to my brother and his wife. Throughout dinner, we were constantly reminded that the table was needed. Now I know it was somewhat our fault for running a little late, but that's where the restaurant should have made back up plans if parties run over. There were plently of other tables available for this 7:30 party. We should not have felt rushed through our meal. After all, we were paying a pretty good price for this dinner and wanted to enjoy every bit of it. Upon leaving, my mom confronted this hostess, which turns out to be the manager!!, just to let her know how disappointed we were. The hostess/manager argued back with my mom in a rather loud voice instead of just listening to what my mom had to say. This woman should not be interacting with other people if she is not going to give them the respect they deserve. This kind of treatment is expected at places like McDonald's, but surely not at a place as nice as this. I hope this woman is reprimanded. The customer should never be treated in this fashion, unless it is truely deemed appropriate. On the other hand, the wait staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. However, none of us will return because of how uncomfortable we all felt through out our experience.
Pros: the food was excellent
Cons: the manager was rude
