Dr Jean is patient, kind, experienced and prices are reasonable. Office staff are personable and friendly. We have taken all of our animals to Derby City and appreciate the convenience. Routine care is great as well as true emergencies. When our cat was hit by a car we brought her in with some panic. They triaged her appropriately and worked like a true trauma team to diagnose and treat her including many days of ""intensive care"". She survived and has lived many more years. We board our dog here as well and know she receives the same love and attention that she does at home. That's saying a lot because Bella is very spoiled. Bravo Derby City!! more

ArJean is the most wonderful human alive! She has taken care of numerous cats for me, and has shown so much compassion towards her work, I wouldn't go anywhere else. God sent this woman to animal lovers and we're lucky to have her. more

Dr. Jean has treated my dogs and cats for years. She treated one from 6 weeks - 18 years, one dog for 17 years, 2 others into their teens. One died from bone cancer and another from being attacked by another dog.. She did everything possible. I would recommend her. He place is not dirty. The building is older but very clean. She and her stall are like family and treat us as such more

We love Derby City Animal Hospital!! Dr. Jean is wonderful with our animals. We have a dog who has been very sick over the past two years. She has been able to diagnose and help to manage his old age issues. It is great going to a neighborhood place where you are an actual name and not just another customer walking through the door. Thanks for all you do for our 4 legged family. more

completely unprofessional 11/27/2005

We were customers for 5 years and once took our two Westies for grooming. We were called by the Vet to warn us that our dogs had been completely shaved by the new groomer, and he had been fired as a result. When we arrived to pick up our dogs, we were amazed that we were still expected to pay $40 per dog. Eventually we were given a discount of a measly $10 per dog and sent home with our hairless white dogs. more
