Denton Regional Medical Ctr

My father was literally dying in the hospital and in 2 days we never once saw a doctor. Everytime we asked about seeing a doctor to get answers about why my dad was suddenly taking a turn for the worse, we were told there were no doctors there and to call our regular doctor. What hospital has no doctors there. We had to raise hell and we eventually got one on the phone. We were told (on the phone only) my dad would be released on Monday and had months to live. He died later that day. The only time we saw an actual doctor was when they came to pronounce him dead. Go to this hospital at your own risk. I believe my dad would have had at least a few more weeks if he had received any medical attention at all. My husband and I both have medical backgrounds and the care here is substandard at best. more

This place is horrible. I will just say that my newborn baby suffered all night because their neonatal staff is incompetent and failed to recognize the cause of her breathing distress. Even at our request, they refused to transfer her to a well-equipped NICU until the next morning when it was clear that they did not know what they were doing. My mom is a mother-baby nurse (has been for 40 years and they wouldn't listen to her). Not to mention that they CANNOT file insurance claims correctly causing me to have to pay more out of pocket than I should. I have been trying to fix their mistake for 6 months and no success - their billing department is too lazy and incompetent to file the claim again. I LOVE my OB but would never allow the neonatal staff near any baby. Their billing department makes me want to tear my hair out. The L&D nurses and postpartum nurses were wonderful though. more

Denton Regional Hospital is a great hospital. I delivered my second child there a year ago by c-section. The doctors are highly experienced and also very personable and friendly. The nurses staff was great, anything I needed they were there with it in no time. I really could not have wanted a better place to give birth to my daughter. The lab at the hospital that we used before my delivery and after for my daughters test. They were absolutely great too! We did not have to wait long and they were so good with my daughter. more

Ladies if you are looking for that "one" special hospital to welcome your little one into the world, there is none better than the Denton Regional Medical Center located in Denton, Texas. Not only do they have some of the best OB/GYN's around, the staff is wonderful. I couldn't have personally asked for a better place to give birth. The Labor and Delivery rooms alone would hook you. It's not the akward and uncomfortable white walls and white fixing (cabinets, dressers, seating) in this place! They have wood floors, wood dressers and cabinets, a large sofa chair, and even a rocking chair for guests. If you are *lord forbid* an overnight laborer, they will bring in an extra bed for your husband or significant other to sleep on. The nurses staff was marvelous, and the doctor's were a god send! This is the absolute birhting experience every mother to be is entitled to. more
