Dentistry by Design

I have spent thousands of dollars here. Front office staff is the worst, rude and very unhelpful acting like you are stupid if you dont know everything about your insurance. Dr. Karazi is very nice and will give you compliments all day... I did get the free whitening trays below after having 3 root cannals/crowns and a filling. Nothing is free. The last straw was when they never called me to schedule a return visit when they said they would, Guess they got all the money they needed. more

IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD! THIS BITCH IS INSANE. YOU GO IN FOR A CLEANING AND SUDDENLY YOU NEED THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF WORK, BUT WHEN I GET A SECOND OPINION I'M TOLD I HAVE NONE OF THE PROBLEMS THIS MONEY HUNGRY C*NTCLAIMS I HAVE, WHAT IS WORSE IS THAT THE DENTIST I WENT TO FOR A SECOND OPINION SAYS HE HAS SEEN A FEW PATIENTS FROM DENTISTRY BY DESIGN WITH THE SAME ISSUE. NO WORK NEEDED BUT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ESTIMATED!!!! HE ALSO LOOKED OVER THE ESTIMATE AND TOLD ME THE PRICES WERE RIDICULOUS. I WILL BE REPORTING THIS CRAZY ""doctor"" TO THE DENTAL BOARD AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY! I LOOKED OVER THE REVIEWS I SEE AND IT LOOKS LIKE THE ONLY GOOD ONES ARE FAKE ONES, THEY CALL THE OFFICE DBD WHICH IS WHAT THE CAR TAGS ON THE CAR OUT FRONT SAY. \r \r THE HOURS ARE HORRIBLE, THEY ARE NEVER THERE! EVEN WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE THERE SEEING PATIENTS THEY AREN'T THERE MOST THE TIME. I FEEL SORRY FOR THE HEAVY LADY AT THE FRONT SHE TRIED TO EXPLAIN TO ME HOW MUCH EVERYTHING COST AND WHEN I TOLD HER I THOUGHT IT WAS ALL UN NEEDED AND THE PRICE WAS OUTRANGEOUS SHE SAID SORRY AND OFFERED ME A DENTAL CREDIT CARD BUT LOOKED LIKE SHE HEARD THIS ALOT. THE STRANGE ASSISTANT WITH TWO TONED NAPPY HAIR AND THE IRANIAN DOCTOR TALK ABOUT THEIR PERSONAL LIVES WHILE THEY WORKED ON THE POOR BASTARD IN THEIR ROOM AND I COULD HEAR EVERYTHING FROM ACROSS THE HALL. \r \r THE DOCTOR CLAIMS THE PATIENTS ARE HER LIFE AND SHE IS THIS GREAT PERSON WHO WANTS TO HELP EVERYONE BUT IT'S CLEAR SHE ONLY WANTS TO COMMIT FINANCIAL TERRORISM AGAINST US TO FURTHER CUSHION HER PERSONAL LIFE. \r \r THE OFFICE IS NICE BUT I'M SURE IT'S EASY TO MAKE AN OFFICE LOOK LIKE WHEN YOUR SCAMMING PEOPLE OUT OF EVERY DIME YOU CAN AND LYING ABOUT PAINFUL DENTAL WORK THAT DOESN'T NEED TO BE DONE!! Please please stay away! Learn from my nightmare and all the others i found on here. not surprised i wasn't the only victim. She is a fake! BIG TIME scam artist! Let me say i get compliments daily on my teeth. people are alwasy telling me i have a movie star smile. I only had caviteis in high school never again. i am super anal with my teeth. I was in the market for a new dentist since my old one retired. I too noticed her ad in the community flyer so i thought i would try her out. BIG HUGE MISTAKE. thank god that B*tch only got $600 dollars from me mostly for cleaning and exrays, she did one cavity. she told i needed $3,000 worth of dental work. i almost fell out of the chair and then the big red flag went off WHOA WHOA this chick is SCAM ARTIST. i left the office not before making a scene to her wacky front office manager. needless to say she was trying to hush me cause they had one other client in the waiting room and i'm sure she didn't want him to hear me confronting them and let me tell you i made it clear that the dentist is a con artist right there on the spot. I have told many of my friends about this nightmare place and to avoid it. also the 1 cavity i let her still causes me pain 3 years later. Its crazy how many of us fell victim to her. i am thinking she needs to be reported. she is so fake too telling us my patients are like my kids and family. YEAH RIGHT she wants our pocketbooks. for what its worth going there was the biggest regret in my 30 years of life. it was that bad people. my brother used to make jokes that she is the killer dentist after the stories i told him. * STAY AWAY* more

I have used this dentist for a while when I went on my husband's insurance and couldn't use my regular dentist. For years I went without any fillings and all the sudden when I saw her, her intra-oral camera revealed that I needed four fillings that my other dentist hadn't seen six months earlier. I was cautious, but I had them done just in case. Then on the next visit, she said I needed all my sealants replaced. After having the fillings done by her, I was a bit skeptical about the sealants and got a second opinion. Not only were they fine, but they said that when I do need them replaced, they charge 30% less than her estimate. I won't be going back. Be cautious here. more

I went to Dentistry by Design two years ago after finding an ad in the coupon clipper and had several terrible experiences. First I was told that I needed $18000 dollars worth of dental work including 4 crowns and that I had substantial dental disease which would require appointments every three months or my teeth would fall out. They called me in twice for xrays and took over 40 of them because they had diffuculty getting pictures of the back teeth, they charges me for both set of x-rays. When they started the procedure for my crown I wasn't completely numb and after waving my hands in the air and trying to indicate I was in severe pain Dr. Kharrazi tried to tell me that I was only feeling pressure. The crown did not fit properly and I went back in three times to have adjustments. They ground the crown down to a nub and I lost the ability to chew on the right of my mouth. At that point I refused to go back and found a new dentist. This did not stop them from aggressively calling me to come back. My new dentist told me that I did not need any crowns nor was I in jeapordy of having my teeth fall out. The tooth that Dentisty by Design worked on ended up getting infected and I had to have a root canal. My new dentist said it was very poor workmanship and needed to be replaced but my insurance won't pay for another crown. Save yourself the pain and money. I?m a college student, and like any other students have some financial problems. When I received the DBD's flyer, I told myself this place must be really expensive because it looked so beautiful. But I want to take my chance to try this place especially because they offered free Zoom teeth whitening. I made an appointment, and when I got there, I saw really caring staff. The front desk person was very nice and professional, kind assistances, great dental hygienist, and the most important very caring dentist who explained my treatment plan so well to me. I was disappointed that I could not have the zoom procedure on that day due to my cavities. Then, she explained to me before having zoom; all of my cavities need to be taking care of first, and she told me that she has to follow the American Dental Association's rules. She discussed it to me if the zoom material gets to my cavities, I will end up with severe pain or possible root canals. After my dental exam, I went to front desk person, and she explained to me about my insurance benefits and how much I have to pay from my pocket. Also, they offered me care credit whith12 months interest free. I told them that I'm worried that I may pay more for their state of art dental office, but she explained it to me that they are PPO with the same fees that different offices which participating as preferred provider organization; I'm not paying extra for my dental treatment. After my great experience of cleaning and my dental treatments, I had my free zoom teeth whitening done. It was almost six hundred dollars which cost me nothing. FREE. I'm highly recommending this dental office who is seeking the best dental experience. more

I went to this dentist after seeing her offer of Free Zoom Whitening for new patients, I had just moved and had a dental emergency so I remembered her ad.\r \r Her staff (especially the front office) is completely incompetent. After being jerked around by them for several months, I went to another dentist.\r \r I would sincerely NOT recommend anyone going to them. They do have a gorgeous spa-like office, BUT like another reviewer stated, they may be waaaay overcharging patients in order to pay for the space. My experience from my recent visit was so wonderful, Dr. Kharrazi and her caring staff treated me like royalty by taking their time in explaining all the details of the required procedures and by using the state of the art intra-oral camera , Dr. kharrazi found several cavities which was missed by my old dentist who used traditional X-Ray . Poor Customer service, found 5 cavities and wanted to replace a filling. I went back to my old dentist for a second opinion and they took ex-rays and compared them to two years ago, no change, teeth are fine, the one filling is totally good. Basically she tryed to do a bunch of work that did not need to be done, recomended a bunch of expensive stuff not covered by insurance. Her prices where over double what other dentists charge and her attitude simply is poor. I would never recomind this dentist, and I would strongly recomend anyone who goes to her to get a second opinion and check her prices. more
