Great Dentist with a view! 9/18/2007

Dental Salon has a friendly staff of qualified dentist and dental assistants who always make your visit enjoyable. The atmosphere on the 8th floor is superb staring over the north side of Lincoln Park and the offices are decked with comfortable chairs and sunglasses so you can rest while they work hard for you! I definitely recommend them always! more

Great dental office visit 9/18/2007

I like this place, and not only because I got a gold star for having great teeth, but because from the moment I walked in, I was made to feel welcome, and with minimal paperwork beforehand was able to see a dentist almost immediatly (with my appointment). Don't you just hate having to wait on a dentist? It's like ""well, what was the appointment for then?"" You won't be saying that here. I sat down for about 3 minutes (quite literally), and then was escorted back to the examination room. My check up, cleaning and x-rays went just swimmingly, and the dentist attending to me was personable, affable, and professional. I can honestly say that although I'm not too keen on going to the dentist, as long as I'm in this city, the Dental Salon is where I'll be going. Pros: quickly in and out, insurance accepted, courteous and professional Cons: building needs to mark better where the office is located (on the 8th floor, and you'd never know it for the lack of sinage). more

Great Dental experience 9/18/2007

Being a little bit scared of going to the dentist, I really wanted to find a place that I could trust and not dread going to. The Dental Salon was one of the most pleasurable dental experiences I have ever had. They were extremely throrough but also very gentle and considerate. They also did a great job of listening to any concerns you might have before they do anything. I would recommend this place to anyone! more

Great office, great dentists!! 9/16/2007

I have had a fantastic experience with the Dental Salon. They are professional (both dentists and staff), they care about their patients and they don't charge you an arm and a leg for their services. I really like my dentist -- Dr. Gina Liford. She really cares about her patients, I mean really. I have had some extensive work done with her, and she is completely focused on making sure she does a good job with me. A few months back I was at a different dentist's office in Chicago, in excruciating pain and all they wanted to talk to me about was getting my teeth whitened and charging an excessive amount for their services. Dr. Liford is different, her number one priority is making sure my teeth are healthy. Trust me, you will NOT regret going to this dentist, she has a great bedside manner and she's probably one of the best you'll find in Chicago!!\r \r The whole place is very comforting from the moment you walk in. I've never had such an enjoyable experience going to the dentist before! more

Best customer service from receptionist to technicians to dentist! 9/14/2007

I have recently finished my first treatment at the Dental Salon and have to say it was the best dental experience I have had in my life! Often it is hard to find a dentist that is knowledgable and has good ""bedside manners."" That combination is definitely here! Everyone from the front desk, to the technicians, to the denist are friendly and welcoming. It is obvious that they care about what they are doing and their patients. I have also had experiences in the past where you can't get in to see the dentist for 3 months or more. The dental salon was able to get me in right away and had a variety of time slots available. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist! Pros: Customer service, ambience Cons: NONE! more

great atmosphere 9/11/2007

This is the most relaxing dentist office i've ever been in. the staff is really nice and comforting and unlike other dentists i've been to, they're not judgemental and they don't rush you out the door. i've had nothing but good experiences here and i highly recommend it. oh and the hours are great if you work during the day...they're open until 8 p.m. during the week. more

Most Professional and Cute Dental Pros in Town 9/11/2007

The women of the office were professional and easy on the eyes. I felt welcomed with plenty of magazines and a Rockstar energy drink as I waited. There was a great cityscape view to look out on as they painlessly drilled and suctioned. I usually hate the dentist office but this experience made me want to get a few more procedures done so I could see them again. Pros: Professional, Gentle, Fast more

The dentists and the staff at the Dental Salon are all very helpful and very nice. They offer great times for appointments so that you can get evening and weekend appts. I have been very happy with all of the work done to date, and they also accept just about every kind of dental insurance. Pros: Just about everything. Parking validation is also nice. Cons: Annoying check in process when it is after hours. more

A Stress-free Dental Experience 9/4/2007

I hadn't been to the dentist in 3 years so I was a bit anxious about my visit to the Dental Salon. I was delightfully surprised that the doctors and assistants didn't lecture me at all. In general, I'm not sure if I can think of any establishment that is as conscious of customer service as the Dental Salon. Its as though they sat down and listed all the things that people hate about the dentist and based their business around not doing those things. It should perhaps be mentioned that they do encourage their patients to post reviews on sites such as this, hence their nearly flawless online reputation- But that isn't to say that the reviews aren't genuine and accurate. If you have been overwhelmed trying to find a dentist in Chicago, you should seriously consider the Dental Salon. Pros: no lecturing, painless, modern facilities and procedures Cons: no free toothbrush more

What a dental office SHOULD be! 8/31/2007

I initially found them two years ago after doing research for a new dentist in the area, and I had a good feeling about them the moment I stepped in their office. The staff at Dental Salon are always so pleasant and accommodating. Their great customer service whenever I call (for whatever reason) is greatly appreciated and quite refreshing. Dentists and dental offices are not my favorite places, but my Dental Salon experiences have made it so that it's no longer such a dreaded, torturous experience, which is VERY important to me. Their kindness, patience, understanding, friendly personalities, enjoyable presence, dental knowledge, reasonable pricing and professionalism keep me happy... and keeps me coming back. Pros: Kind, patient, understanding, friendly, knowledgeable, timely and professionalism. Reasonable pricing. more

Extremely professional and courteous service! 8/28/2007

My fiance and I just moved to Chicago and had to go through the process of choosing a new dentist without any recommendations or prior knowledge of dentists in the area (which can be a nightmare...), and I'm happy to say that Dental Salon was the perfect choice!\r \r Dental Salon's facilities and staff are very professional and upscale, and the quality of service was awesome. I would recommend them to anyone without reservation. I'm so glad we found Dental Salon! more

Great for cleanings and then some! 8/28/2007

I've mostly had great experiences with dentist. Growing up we always went to one of the best in town. I just moved out on my own and went to Dental Salon on my new insurance... it was great! It was free, as usual, if you have dental insurance. They have the coolest tools. Instead of taking the stainless steel hook and scratching all the plaque off your teeth, they have this little feather looking thing that vibrates and used mouthwash to do the same thing. It was way faster, my gums weren't cut, and my teeth felt very very clean afterwards. more

very friendly and comfortable atmosphere 8/28/2007

The staff was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable, even though I was nervous b/c it had been some time since I've been to the dentist. The cleaning was very painfree and Dr. Morris went through my x-rays with me and answered all my questions. It was also nice that they emailed me the forms to fill out ahead of time so I didn't have to get to the appointment early. The office was also very clean, bright, and comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new dentist! Pros: very friendly staff, great atmosphere Cons: small parking fee more

A really great experience 8/28/2007

I hadn't been to the dentist in an embarrassingly long time, and was understandably apprehensive about all that tooth scraping. From the time I walked in the door of the dental salon to the time I left, I was amazed at how friendly and helpful the staff were. I felt taken care of, despite the necessary discomfort of a much needed teeth cleaning. I would definitely recommend the Dental Salon. The office is lovely, but more importantly the people who work there make it feel like a warm place. more

Great Dentist Office 8/21/2007

The Dental Salon was the first NICE dentist office that I have been to since being in Chicago. The staff was extremly nice and the office was incredibally welcoming and clean. The view was also magnificent. But most importantly the cleaning was great. I left feeling very good. Overall this was a great experience. more

Great Dentist, Great Experience 8/15/2007

This is a great dentist office. The staff is extremely friendly and do a great job. There is never a long wait. I've seen Dr. Grayson on all my visits and she is an excellent dentist. She really knows what she is doing and is very friendly. The location is great as well. It's located right of the north/clybourn red line stop. I have recommended this place a bunch of friends and everyone is always very pleased after they go in for their visit. more

Great Dentist, Great Location 8/14/2007

I really like this place--the decor is very soothing and everyone is very friendly. The location is excellant--right off of the red line. Its great for me b/c its in the same building as my gym so it's very easy to fit in a cleaning before a workout. Dr. Grayson is excellent. She is very friendly and knowledgable. I've recommended this place to numerous friends and they've been impressed as well. more

Great Dental experience! 8/7/2007

I've been going to the Dental Salon for a few years after I saw an ad on TV for $100 Teeth Whitening... The teeth whitening kit was fantastic however the dental experience itself was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable! And the dental chairs themselves are the most comfortable, cushy chairs you'll ever sit in. Top that with an amazing view of the city while you're sitting there and it makes for a great experience!!! I highly recommend the team over there. Pros: comfortable chairs, views of the city Cons: parking you now have to pay a few bucks ($3 to $5) more

Makes you feel comfortable 8/7/2007

I have been to dental salon twice now and both times had good experiences. Which is not an easy thing to say with dentists. The staff are friendly and attentive. The techs are great and so are the dentists. A good eperience overall. They also are not so expensive on any out-of-pockets procedures. They have good office times also. Pros: The ambience is great Cons: i don't like paying for parking more
