Outstanding Service 3/23/2011

My car had a fairly large dent on the quarter panel where I backed into my neighbors vehicle. I took my car to Dents & Dings, and was AMAZED at how awesome my car looked afterwards. You couldn't even tell where the dent was before. The customer service was outstanding as well. Quality Work, Great Price, and Outstanding Customer Service are hard to get these days all at one shop. Great Job! more

In response to “Damage more than they fix!!!” 3/18/2011

This repair happened over 3 years ago. The customer paid in full when he picked up his car because he was happy with the repair. This customer made a complaint to the BBB and the complaint was closed because they found the complaint so questionable and unreasonable. The BBB doesn’t close a complaint because of no response. The customer was told in the beginning exactly what we had to do to repair his vehicle including, jacking up his vehicle to get access to his dents in his rear ¼ panel. Paint was not rubbed off. The paint cracked (this was a hairline crack) on the front fender between fender and fender well molding. Honda’s idea to paint a molding “onto” a fender, of which no other manufacture does and probably the only vehicle they did this to. This happened when our tools push up against the molding then cracked the paint of which I offered to have painted and customer refused. Yes we used paint thinner on a little overspray from the undercoat we sprayed, on the lip of the fender well, not on the outside of the vehicle, to cover the hole that we told the customer we would have to drill in order to get access to the dents. We drilled hole, fixed dent, sprayed hole with undercoat then plugged hole and sprayed it again so it was not a visible plug. The damage to the underside of the car was a slightly bent ear of a control arm for the rear wheel. This was bent I agree but was bent back with a pair of pliers. This is a Honda “Prius” I believe. The metal is extremely thin, even the frame. Responses were delayed I agree. We thought this customer was either trying to get something for free or just mentally ill and as of now agree to the later. When I finally met with the customer, I did pay him back $100 dollars and did buff out a scratch for him that he “asked” me to do for him for free. By the way ”Jacks Paint Place” said they would never paint his car anyway. They told me he was to picky of customer and would never be able to make him happy. And I can get that in writing too. more

Damage more than they fix!!! 1/28/2011

They drilled in the rear wheel wells to access dents on rear quarter panels, plugged the holes and covered with undercoating spray and got it all over both sides of the car. They tried to remove it with "paint thinner" and kept rubbing until he took the original paint off. They started globbing on similarly colored paint from a nail-polish looking bottle. The manager wasn't available and they wouldn't let me leave without paying so I paid and immediately went to a paint shop I trust. They were able to clean it up properly and touch it up professionally, but my new car felt ruined. I then noticed that they had jacked the rear of the car up incorrectly and damaged the underside of my new car. The owners manual in the glove box clearly specifies the correct lift point. The paint shop said it would be impossible to repair but pried it back into place with pliers and repainted it to protect it. I filed a complaint with BBB for mediation. It was nearly impossible to get any response from the manager Luke and the BBB only got repsponses with lies from the idiot that did the damage. I have signed statements from the paint shop that contradicts the Lukes statements in the BBB report. Luke told BBB he wanted to see my car himself and would gladly give a full refund if he could validate my statements but he failed to appear at his own shop for our scheduled meeting then said he was going out of town just before the BBB conclusion deadline. BBB closed the report and Luke finally met with me and confirmed all of my complaints and buffed out the scratched quarter panels himself using a cordless drill, I was biting my lip every second he was touching my car. I asked where my refund is. He said the damage done by the jack is something that happens to every car and the touch-up paint looked fine and refused to refund my money despite having paid for "paintless" repairs. Finally after much debate he offered to refund half ($100), wrote a check and left. more
