Editorial review from Citysearch 8/14/2013

Can't say enough about the great care I was given by Dr. Miranda Hardee at the Urology Team. My first consult was the Jollyville office and after my diagnosis I was scheduled for surgery quickly. My buddy recommended her and I couldn't have made a better choice than Dr. Hardee. She is kind and really made me feel at ease and at peace about a problem I had been dealing with and been embarrassed about for quite a while. Weeks later after my procedure everything is great and I feel like me again. Very grateful to Dr. Hardee and the entire team at Urology Clinic. They know their stuff and couldn't have asked for more. more

Best Female Urologist 1/7/2012

In Austin, finding a female urologist is hard! Having a 3cm kidney stone, she explained my options and the surgery that would be involved. Unlike other doctors, she is one of the nicest people I have ever come across. Being my first time having surgery, she reassured me and made me feel more OK about it and less scared. I do not understand why some people gave her a low rating, for she is ONE OF THE BEST and most understanding doctors I have known. If you are looking for a female urologist who is one of the best urologists in Austin, Melody Denson is your doctor. more

Awsome review for Dr. Denson! 3/10/2011

Whoever is writing these crazy negative reviews are clearly ""smoking crack"" or are apart of another practice that does not appreciate the AWSOME competition! Dr. Denson is the most loving, caring and considerate physicians I have ever met! While people may have a difference of opinion about someone, or doctors may have a bad day, these previous negative reviews were ""way out in left field"". I found Dr. Denson to be very conservative in her treatment. I also found the office to be very accomadating. Most doctors have some wait time and patients should remember that if a doctor is late it usually is because another patient had a difficult problem that needed attention. When that person to be is me, I will also be receiving that ""SAME"" attention. When I had to be in the hospital, Dr. Denson was very understanding, showed up every day, and not at 5:00pm. She was the first one there to check and make sure everything was going well and I was being treated well by the staff. I have not met many docs that come themselves anymore. They tend to send their Physician's Assistant. Finally, if you need a physician who cares, is conscientious and expects great outcomes and won't put up with anything else, then Dr. Denson is your doctor. more

I recommend Melody Denson 11/29/2010

After reading the awful reviews on Dr. Denson I had to make the time to write something positive on her behalf. For those people who haven't seen her yet I highly recommend her. I have had problems with bladder infections since I was a small child...so I've seen many urologists. Her happy disposition is not a turn off to me, it's a pleasant change that I appreciate. She did not seem eager to perform unnecessary procedures, and sure had the opportunity with my past bladder problems. I usually see her at her Westlake Office and I haven't had a problem with waiting yet. Anyway, I would recommend her and her staff ! more

RUDE and very insensitive 9/13/2010

I saw DR. Houser 2 years ago and thought she was rude then. Well, I need to be seen again as my kidney stones were flaring up. I called the office to make an appt. and was told that I owed them $122.00 and that they would not see me until I paid it. I told her that I could not afford to pay it right now. No option of paying it out or anything. They suggessted seeing another DR.and that had I been a regular patient that they might could have worked with me...no one said I needed a follow up appt. Then I asked Caroline(office manager) to please let me know what my lab results were. She laughed at me and said, "from 2 years ago?" She then denied laughing at me. I thought it might be a good idea to know my results so that I could see another DR. Dr. Houser's office never called me with any results and I assumed it was like every other office that no news is good news. Now, I am questioning that considering Dr. Houser was going on a month long vacation at the time and seemed more preoccupied with that than me as a patient! I wish I had seen these reviews prior to going there. Not to mention that the Jollyville office is nasty past the waiting room. The bathrooms look as thought they don't get cleaned and double as a storage closet. I should have gone with my gut. She was rude then and her offfice is rude now! Think twice before going to this Dr.'s office. more

Dr. Denson Has Been Our Doctor for 3 years 7/21/2010

I started seeing Dr. Denson about three years ago. She took care of a common problem for women after childbirth and to this day I have had no problems. I am so grateful for the good job she did. Also, Dr. Denson sees a special needs sister of mine who has several issues that require a doctor of urology. Dr. Denson completed extensive tests and keeps up with my sister's progress on a regular basis. My sister also had successful and much-needed surgery. As for appointments, the only wait we had was once during an emergency with another patient; we had a 50 minute wait at the Jollyville office because of the situation. Now we often go to the Westlake office, and it is true that the wait seems consistently short and reasonable. I think Dr. Denson is a skilled doctor. By the way, whoever said she talks as if she has been sucking hellium is wrong, in my opinion! Dr. Denson is bith cheerful and empathetic as well as knowledgeable...if she is anything, think of her as the balloons, not as hellium. Thanks, Dr. Denson for your expertise. There may be other great docs out there, but we have had excellent experience with you as our physician! Pros: Has operated on both of us and done an excellent job Cons: If a delightful personality is a con, okay, she has a con. more

Dr Melody Denson 6/17/2010

I am a new patient and saw her today.\r The first thing I didnt care for is she bad mouthed my old doctor, wow are they even supposed to do this?\r I couldnt beleive shes a doctor. My local pharmacy is more knowledgeable than her.\r While I was waiting in the waiting room I was listening and its seems this office has alot of upset patients.\r She immediatlety wanted to do surgery on me and said that a second opinion was not necessary.\r She didnt even get all my tests results back.\r I can clearly see that she is a money doctor.\r her bedside manner was not so good and she talked like she sucked in hellium.\r I dont know if shes a new doctor but I would advise you not going to see her.\r She called me by the wrong first name several times and seemed like while we were speaking her mind was elsewhere.\r I am filing a complaint with the proper channels.\r I left her office disatified.\r Ooh and did I say I waited over 50 minutes after my appointment time to be seen.\r If i would have been 15 minues late they wouldnt have even seen me? Pros: Nice building but jammed packed with people Cons: Nothing more

Horrible Doctor "" Dr Melody Denson"" The Urology Team!!! 6/17/2010

She doesnt even deserve this one star!!!!\r Well all I can say is run as fast as you can!!!\r Dr Denson has got that fake little sweet voice and smile but underneath it is a sad excuse for a doctor!!!! Shes a monster.\r Shes rude and doesnt care about your care.\r her office staff makes appointments and then cancels at no notice and expects the patient to go another 3 months due to their mistake.\r I have a medical condition that we must monitor every 6 months and she could care less!\r You can tell she's is in it for the money and not the patient!!!!!!!!!!!\r I cant wait for Obama to show these doctors that they are not all high and mighty!!!!\r leaving voice mails stating I cant book your appt during that time of day cause you are medicare thats for our prime patients? UMMMMM Discrimination much!!!!!\r They charge for services never rendered!!!\r Do yourself a favor and dont step foot in the doors.\r Carolyn and Ada are the manager and all they do is cover their own lies and tell the doctors what they want.\r I have filed a complaint with the medical board, BBB, The American Disability Act ( I am on Social Security Disability)and Medicare.\r I am considering a discrimination lawsuit I am waying out my options! Pros: Absolutley Nothing!!!! Cons: Phoney horrible excuse for a doctor!!!! more

AWESOME 6/9/2010

I was referred to Dr Houser by my regular doctor and my obgyn. I had alot of problems and needed their specialty. Dr Houser was kind and attentive. She answered all my questions. Because of my specific problems, she thought that Dr Denson should be involved. I was surprised and asked why and Dr Houser said that Dr Denson had expertise in "pelvic floor prolapse" I was surprised that the reason to go see another female urologist in their practice, was because it was best for me. Dr Denson, did my surgery and I went back to Dr Houser for the rest of my care. She is the Best. The staff was very friendly and I felt that listened. I did have to wait a bit to see the female doctors, but was told that they try to take as much time as possible with their women patients When it was all over, it was worth the wait. Pros: FEMALE DOCTOR FOR UROLOGY YEAH..... more

ADVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST 2/7/2010

They don't even deserve 1 star more

Good experience 1/30/2009

Dr. Denson was knowledgeable and gentle. She took the time to explain conditions and procedures. I would recommend her. Pros: Westlake office was very nice, wait was short Cons: Jollyville Office was crowded, wait was longer more

Avoid this chop shop 7/22/2008

Avoid The Urology Team unless you want to experience long-term complications. Months after a shoddy vasectomy and an excruciating follow-up procedure, the pain continues. No one on the team seems to care. Do not let The Urology Team ruin your body. Do your homework and look elsewhere. Pros: Facilities are good Cons: Competence is lacking more
