Took mower in, told 1.5 weeks. After 2 weeks (On a Monday), called all day with no answer and finally left a message. Next day, called all day again with no answer. Next day, called again half the day and left another voicemail. Finally the next day (Thursday) I just showed up when it'd been 2.5 weeks.
Owner was working the counter and was rude and basically made it seem like my fault for "not knowing grass turns green April 1st". I told him I was quoted 1.5 weeks, he said "Yeah, and then 50 more people came in". Why would that matter? I was in first! They hadn't even started working on my mower, so I told him I wanted my mower back and I'll take it someplace else, and he got even ruder.
He walked me to their lot of mowers and opened the door where mowers were lined up side-by-side and front-to-back with no walking room and told me "If you can find it you can take it". What kind of service is that? I had to threaten to carry the mower over my head before he started moving mowers out of the way for me in fear of "you breaking your neck and suing me for that". I knew I had my mower, but he obviously needed to check the tag, so he took it inside. He went inside and never came back out, so I just loaded up my mower and left.
He also blamed their backlog on Bennington Small Engine going out of business, but that is no excuse for misquoted times, not answering their phones or returning voicemails, and the horrid customer service from the owner himself.
