BE SURE YOUR RIBS ARE NOT BURNED LIKE MINE 6/18/2011

I got a slab of ribs on Memorial day along with a whole lemon pie using a Groupon at Demetris Bar-B- Q. I also used a Groupon for Costas Bar-B-Q on Lakeshore Parkway which I also ordered a slab of ribs,cole slaw, baked beans and a gallon of sweet tea. I took all this food over for my family of six. All was great except we ran out of ribs because the ones from Demetris could not be eaten.They were burned to a crisp. I bet the dog would not have been able to eat them either. I suggest trying Costas for great ribs. They only have take-out. Also while waiting for my order at Demetris at the drive up window, I noticed that the kitchen sure could use a good cleaning. more

Standard neighborhood Southern BBQ 8/16/2005

Demitri's is the Homewood neighborhood BBQ store. It has generally good, decent food, not necessarily the very best you will ever find. The atmosphere is good, casual. The BBQ sauce is a little too sweet. They have a good vegetable dinner on Wednesdays, and prices are highly reasonable, i.e. 2 adult dinner plates will come in at under $15. more
