Detroit is home to scores of ""neighborhood Italian"" restaurants - family owned, reasonably priced, modestly decorated - that feature unpretentious, delicious Italian-American fare served in an atmosphere of mid-century charm.
De Lucas is no exception. This Warren Rd. landmark has been serving excellent pizza, spaghetti, and veal parm since the 1950s. I'm biased - De Luca's is probably the first pizza I ever ate, and it remains my favorite today (in fact, writing this review just inspired me to order some carry out). It's definitely worth a visit - the best independent pizza on the west side.
Pros: Great food, Reasonable prices, Friendly atmosphere
Cons: , Limited parking
