These guys don't know what the heck they're doing. I took my vehicle here for emissions repair. 6 months later the problem returned. I took the vehicle to another shop recommended by the IL SOS and they told me the parts replaced by Delgado's should've never been touched let alone replaced. I'm in the process of trying to get some of my money back through the IL Attorney Generals office. more

Delgados Muffler and Brake offers quality repair and top-notch service for a fair price. First off, the moment you drive up, someone is there to greet you and work with you and they understand vague problem descriptions, they usually can go off with a "this wasn't working right". Their repair garage is VERY large and spacious, but it isn't always clean, still, it's not really meant to be considering what they do! They'll do a quick 5-10 minute look and give you a basic description of what they think it wrong along with a price quote. These quotes are usually close to the final cost, but sometimes can be a little bit lower. Warning, their car parts they sell are VERY expensive, so, if they say they need a new part, go out and buy it somewhere else, it'll be worth it and you'll save a GREAT deal of money. Delgado offers a convinient location next to the blue line in case you want to drop your car there and take a train to city or close by. They usually give a pretty good estimate of the problem and are honest in pricing and the amount of work required. It is easy to talk to them and are pretty good with warranty if you have a problem with them. I have gone back with a noise that was bothering me, and they were pretty good at fixing it.
