Delancey Street Movers

I was moving into my first house and had a lot of antiques, glasses, etc. Delancey guys were totally fair and reasonable in their estimate, and actually came in under budget! We moved in one of the hottest days of the year, and yet the guys were all fast, friendly, and really careful with everything. An absolutely stress free move. I cannot recommend this company enough. I would use them for every move I ever have, and I have already recommended them to several friends who have been just as happy as me. THE BEST. Pros: fast, good prices, careful, friendly, actually make moving a happy experience Cons: they close early in the day, so sometimes they are hard to get hold of - keep trying!!! more

I've moved a lot. My experience with Delancey Street was by far the best I've ever had. They were the only moving company that came to my house to do an estimate. They walked me through all the paper work -- amount of packing materials, hours, insurance, cost, etc. with great transparency. The day of the move, the guys showed up on time. They were professional, cheerful, clear in their communication, and had a great sense of humor. It was as though they loved moving. They complimented me on my packing. (I packed my own boxes as I was moving across town). My previous experiences of moves has been hidden fees, incredible and costly delays, loss and damage of items. None of that here - in fact, they came in under budget. If you don't know about the foundation, Delancey Street gives people who've been terribly down on their luck a second chance. The moving company is a school, and teaches customer relations, accountability and professionalism at every level. They proved it to me. I will definitely hire them again.
