Yikes, I called bc of a coupon add, which seemed too good to be true...and it was, turns out you have to have an expensive pre visit, and redo all shot and what not, bc they don't accept getting the original doc faxed over, or even call the vet for it...then there is the surprise , not so nice attitude , when I decided to call and cancel the appt I made, the girl asked point blank, Are you going somewhere else.... Wow they must get that a lot , after all their reviews are disturbing...I did answer yes, but wanted to say, I am the customer, entitled to cancel, the reason is my business...period! But I didn't want to return rudeness with unprofessional rudeness... Didnt even get in the door, but phone chat, appt...and that intuition that this vet will jack up the cost once there and uses coupon to get people in for the extra exams he is creating...before fixing a cat...is enough for me to believe the poor reviews... more

My puppy was sent to this vet from the Pet Aid League through Broward County Humane Society for a low cost spay. When we brought her in, we were told that she "needed" 4 teeth removed because she is a small breed and there is no guarantee they would fall out on their own, and we wouldn't want to risk another surgery under general anesthesia. This guy plays on the owner's sympathies and makes you think you need to have these extra services "for the dog's benefit" However, this puppy went through a lot of pain and discomfort because of the 2 surgeries together, and had I realized this guy was such a sheister, I would have payed the extra money to have her spayed at Peggy Adams instead of here. A $50 low cost spay turned into $365 for all the "services", I received no home care information, and all I was told was to check up on the puppy often overnight to make sure she was ok. She did not take well to the anesthesia and was barely responsive when we got her home. I regret ever setting foot in this vet's office and I strongly recommend anyone considering using this guy run the other way!!!! After speaking to a few people, I am finding out this is a pattern for this vet of overcharging and tugging heartstrings to do it. He ropes you in with the low cost spay/neuter and proceeds to take advantage afterwards. Stay far away!! more

My puppy had been scratching her right ear and shaking her head (which is a usual sign of ear mites or an ear infection). When we got to the office, the assistant was charismatic, but was dropping the "s" word in front of us like she'd known us for years. While awaiting the doctor, the walls in that place are paper thin and in the back, we could hear the assistants cursing and answering their cellphones which my husband and I found to be completely unprofessional. They did fecal exams without our permission and when the doctor eventually saw our pup, he said he was awaiting the outcome of the fecal to give her a clean bill of health, not saying a word of possible infection of the ears. He seemed to rush through the examination and wasn't very gentile .My overtly-friendly and lovingly docile puppy nearly bit him. I brought up the symptoms that she'd been experiencing and he finally looked and stated there was a lot of buildup in her ears. He said they were going to flush her ears, and give her medication (this is without diagnosing that she even had an infection). Once they were flushed, he looked with the scope and established there was an infection. To think, if I hadn't said anything he would've let us walk right out the door and who knows what damage that ear infection would have done to our puppy. Not only did he NOT take a sample of the build up to look under a microscope, they did fecal examinations without our permission. I will never be taking any of my animals to this "doctor" again. Horrible and unprofessional. Don't let the so called "good reviews" fool you. more

This place is really great! Led by a group of caring professionals, who provide wonderful treatment to your pets, they offer a wide array of services and products. Bathing, grooming, specialty foods, and boarding services are just a few to name. Offer 24 hour service with an emergency vet always on call, and that's a plus for me! Ask for Dr. Weidenbaum, he has always personally taken care of my kitties and they love him! Wouldn't go anyplace else. Located in Deerfield on Powerline/Hillsboro in the Dunkin Donuts Plaza..Your pets are special to you, only trust special doctors..:) more
