I am local to the Napa Valley and was diagnosed and treated for ECOLI after consuming food from the catering department of this Dean & Deluca store. The catering departments commissery kitchen also provides all the prepped food for the Dean & Deluca St. Helena market as well as prepped foods for both Oakville Grocery (a store with previous health code violations and an F grade given by the Health Department and publicized in the Napa Register in previous months) as well as Healdsburg Grocery in Healdsburg. Scary to think how many of the tourist that pass through our Valley may have become ill in the past. Be aware! more

Fabulous Market/Deli 4/26/2010

Dean & Deluca is the perfect stop when you are visiting wine country. They sell an awesome selection of breads, cheeses, crackers, fruits, pates - - all the wine accompaniments you need to enjoy the ultimate wine country experience. They also have markets in Washington DC and New York, NY. A must when visiting Napa. more

The food was decent enough, nothing mind blowing. 3/13/2009

The husband went inside to grab some dessert munchies for the room while watching pay per view. He bought a personal cheesecake, a personal tart with meringue on top, a personal chocolate torte of some sort. The food was decent enough, nothing mind blowing. He also bought a decaf chocolate coffee drink for me, and that was good, which earned this review another star. more

So good 2/13/2009

This store is by far the best gourmet food store I have visited. I know they are also opening one in Newport Beach Fashion Island soon, and there is a big one in NYC. The one in Napa is great because you can go in and pick up some great items, like their deli salads (example, shrimp diablo (so good), fresh asparagus salad), some yummy cheese, like a triple cream brie, some excellent paper thin salami, some delicious fresh baked bread, some gourmet sesame mustard, some fruit and pastries, and then head out to one of the wineries, and park yourself on the lawn (a really fun one is Domaine Chandon -- beautiful grounds -- check out the mushroom sculpture garden), and have a beautiful lunch. Unbelievable selection!!! 7/31/2005

If you like gourmet foods and wines, you have to stop at the Dean and Deluca in St. Helena! This is easily the best gourmet food shop I have ever been to! There is a huge selection of fresh fruit and produce, cheese, gourmet spices, and wine, but the best part of this market is the prepared food case! The prices are not cheap, but also not overpriced, so it's definitely worth it! PROS: Fabulous prepared foods CONS: Not cheap more
