Best Italian Restaurant in Merced 6/25/2006

The Menu Selections and Preperation are outstanding. The taste and texture are exciting and beg to be savored. M-mmmmm. Must portions are adequate, but I do like pasta and the sides served could be larger. While some may call the Atmosphere ""romantic"" I found it to be dreary and dark. I much prefer to eat in the bar area. Livelier and fun. But that my personal choice. Pros: Great Food. Cons: Dreary Dining area more

Good Food 5/28/2004

The crab ravioli at DeAngelo's is divine. The filet with cognac sauce is excellent, too. Chef Vinnie DeAngelo really knows his way with sauces. However, before you order off the menu, listen to the specials. The waitstaff is attentive. The bread is warm (although the butter is cold). My only complaint is the side of pasta that comes with some entrees. It comes in a small cereal-type bowl with watery marinara sauce and a floret of undercooked broccoli. Why bother?
