Horrible standard for engraving. After 2 messed up attempts I ended up having to go elsewhere. Jim, the owner, was useless and RUDE! Told me my expectations were unreasonable and impossible to meet when I complained that my purchase was scratched and engraving completely crooked and uncentered. Will NEVER go here again!!! more

Worst experience EVER!!! Staff is helpful and kind but after having an issue, not once but twice with unsatisfactory engraving, I spoke to Jim (the store owner!) who couldn't have handled the situation worse! He treated me as if it was my fault that the work wasn't done properly and that my expectations were unreasonable and impossible to meet. I expected the engraving on my husband's gift to be centered, level and for the jewelry to be free of scratches...which it wasn't. I ended up having to drive 3 hours, to a different store, to get the job done right in order to have the gift when needed…if I could have purchased from a different store altogether I would have. Unfortunately Day’s was the only store that had the matching bracelet for my husband’s ring. My time and satisfaction was of no concern to Jim. I give him a 0 out of 5 stars. I will say that the S.Portland store was very accommodating and understanding of my desire to have a quality engraved gift. I will never shop at or refer anyone to the Bangor store again. more

The most precious gem in this Bangor area jewelry shop is there custormer service. The no-pressure sales staff makes you feel like the most important customer in the store. They are most well know for their grand selection of diamonds. They are comparably priced for a fine jeweler in the area. They also will care for your jewelry free of charge if your piece ever need a polish or sizing. more
