Best

I am currently an employee at daycare grooming and dont get me wrong sometimes it may seem like the staff is rude, but actually I've been there for 3 years and i see my boss, co-w...

Worst

I came down from fr worth to visit my mom and found out that the owner was extremely rude to my mom. He even called her a bitch to her face. I would just like to tell people not ...

Best grooming cheapest price 6/2/2010

I have a minature puddle and the guys from daycare grooming gave it the best haircut anyone has ever done. Petsmart and petco said that they were unable to do my little snowball, but they said they would never turn him away. He hates being groomed, I've tried to bathe him an trim his nails, but it is impossible. He ttys to bite me when I do his nails. I tried to get my son to hold him. But he was not having it. If these guys can do snowball they can do anyone. more

Never taking my dog back 5/29/2010

They may cheap but my dog is so heavily perfumed that I'm seriously about to go hose him off. Also when my husband mentioned in the store that they forgot to clip his nails, they decided to be fast about it, One guy just physically restrained my dog and the other tried to clip his nails fast. They both would have gotten bitten if my husband hadn't called the dog off. I think I would have let him bite them for their stupidity. Long story short, if Buddy isn't happy, I'm not happy and we won't be going back. Petco does a much better job. He comes back happy, nails clipped and not smelling overly perfumed, just clean. more

DANGER 4/27/2010

If you care about your dogs, do NOT go here. My dogs were damaged by these people. These are not trained professionals or even people who care about dogs. more

Great Place 3/24/2010

We take our dog every 4 weeks for a bath and nail trim. They treat him very well and are very professional, We have been coming here 2-1/2 years without any problems at all. I think these negative comments are from the competition. Chester, has never been happier. (that's our dog) Thanks! more

Worst experience; uncaring, arrogant owner 3/9/2010

This was the worst experience I have ever had in 20 years of dog ownership and dog loving. My precious puppy was violated ... I asked that she be trimmed, but more than once emphatically explained that she was not to be shaved. I came to pick her up and was shocked and appalled to find her shaved to her skin ... naked. I do not believe this practice to be healthy for dogs and took my concerns to the owner. His uncaring and arrogant demeanor, and outright contempt for my wishes, alongside his superiority-complex view that this was best, convinced me that he was only a businessman and had no business in caring for dogs/pets. This place should be avoided at all costs; not that all that work there are negligent, but at least so that the self-serving, and non-pup caring owner, reaping the rewards should be kept from harming our loved ones. more

I have never been 1/29/2010

Happier with my groom EVER! I too am a concerned pet owner who wishes nothing but the best for each and ever dog that gets groomed! Being as skeptical as I am I didn't want to leave my dog for her first grooming experience. GUESS WHAT ? They URGED me to stay so that i could see the full grooming process!! Did u know that every dog there gets 2 Haircuts? Why? Well as explain by their wonderfu; female groomer, to insure that the pet is thouroughly washed or treated with any special shampoos or conditioners. I SAW HOW MY DOG WAS HANDLED. I was more nervous than my pet, but as the groom proceeded I saw my pet become more and more at ease. THis female groomer and her staff know exatcly how to treat a frightened or shy dog. I also saw dogs come in that hated the experience but I can Assure u it was nothing the groomer or her staff did. In Fact she did her best to work kindly and gently through the misbehaving dogs that crossed her table. And I also Saw dogs leaving with their tails wagging and taking a treat with a happy spin and A kiss!!! So to all of you who are speaking negativly of this shop and its employees dare I say that ur the one that needs to do your job as an owner and socialize your pet before bringing them into a grooming enviroment and if your dog comes home scared or nicked its probably because the dog was scared to begin with if you dont brush your dog properly expect it to get shaved and possibly nicked DUE TO YOUR NEGLIGENCE AS AN OWNER!!! I recommend daycare grooming and its groomers HIGHLY!!! more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE, Don't let they "No need for vaccines" reel you in! 12/29/2009

We wish we had known about this site prior to taking our dog in to be groomed! The owner is an ill behaved man, who lie's about their fees and we believe they medicate the animals. One pissed off Texan dog owner here, Shame on Daycare grooming. We are truly discusted and will spread the message about their dirty shop all around town. Don't let the idea of saving a buck sway you in along with not needing vaccines. It's not worth it. This pig is the type of guy who would have puppy mills. He needs a good talking to behind the barn! Those who have made positive remarks are obviosly ignorant or get free services. more

Think about it... 12/13/2009

It's kind of messy and like a hole in the wall but they do love animals. I have talked to the woman groomer and she actually found a dog one time and rescued him on her way to work and then she tried to find him a home. They are not bad people. Yeah, sometimes dogs need muzzles, my dog needs one because of early puppy groomings from Petsmart. What dog do you know likes to be groomed. Mine doesn't. Michael's personality, blonde groomer, is fine. He does his job efficiently, just as he is probably told to do. I would rather support a small business than a corporation any day. I keep on going back. more

Don't go here!! 11/19/2009

Although this business advertised that they do not give pets sedatives; I’m certain that something was given to my dog. After every grooming experience my dog would come home lethargic, sleepy, and unbalanced. He constantly had nicks from being cut way too low and he appeared that they would only cut his hair douse him with fragrance and send him home without an actual bath. All the things advertised as to what’s included in their grooming process where not done! Don’t go here if you can help it; they are not animal or people friendly. more

My Mini Schnauzer Liked The Experience 3/2/2009

I don't write reviews often but after reading some of the gripes here I have to comment. My mini schnauzer can be difficult to work on. This is due to bad grooming experiences at places like PetSmart and other more expensive "professional" groomers. I just walked in and although the place was a bit untidy, it smelled fine in there and I found they were busy but started on my dog right away. She was clipped perfectly very short and smooth, ears and all nice, and her cute beard and eyebrows were even. She was a happy girl and she loved the groomer. All dogs have off days and if you find a place that got clipped too short, just use castor oil or aloe vera gel on it and it will be fine. I paid $15 less than PetSmart for faster and better service. more

I highly recommend Daycare Groomers 2/1/2009

From my own expierence I find Daycare Groomers to be excellent and wonderful groomers. I had been taking our pet since 1999 and I can honestly say I have never once seen people or animals being mistreated by these groomers. Now I have seen some pretty rude customers mistreat the employees. And under the circumstances the Daycare Groomes have been as polite as can be expected. I am a firm believer that not everyone is going to like you and the customer is not always right. But I do encourage people to go and expierence the service Daycare Groomers has to offer. more

Been Taking Our Dog for Years 5/22/2008

We have been taking our dog, a poodle, to Daycare Grooming for over 2 years. I have to say, we've had nothing but total respect and honesty from the owner and staff. Sure, he seems to have a high turnover rate and the workers are young, but he's always been there and I've seen him watching what is going on carefully. Pros: The shop will always take our dog--always. They are very busy but never say they cannot take him. They work with timing and if you need the pet back in a hurry, they do their best to accomodate that. They are very nice. Regardless of what some people's experiences have been, they have never, ever been rude or mean to me. I've appreciated their attitude and love for my pet. Never have I felt they didn't care for my pet well. Cons: Place is messy. It's a grooming place and honestly, I do not get my hair done there, my DOG does. My dog is an ANIMAL. The least concern for my poodle is the pictures on the walls or the lack of ambiance. I do wish they'd clean the lobby and not have so much hair everywhere. But, I never sit and stay so I'm not personally bothered by that. It lacks ambiance and some cleanliness but the job done with my pet's care has been awesome. more

Very Disapointed 4/7/2008

I have to concur with the woman who said the facilities were unsanitary. The shop is like a dog grooming assembly line. They promised not to cut all of my poms hair off and they did. They cut her down to the skin and the sides of her face were choppy and uneven. Nothing was done that they promised......they said glands would be done-which she really needed and that was not done. Terrible experience more

Unsanitary, Unprofessional, Unqualified 12/29/2007

I've been a customer of Daycare Grooming's for about a year now and though I can't complain about the owners'/employees' interaction with me, I can attest to their work on my teacup yorkie becoming increasingly unacceptable. I'd grown concerned that in my absence my dog may have been treated inappropriately, and since our last visit I've seen all the proof necessary to conclude that we will no longer return to this business. I strongly suggest that you seek out a more reputable groomer for your pet...I wish I'd been given some insight into the inner workings of this business before I decided to cause my pet to endure such terrible conditions for this long. My yorkie has always been very social, but I began to take note of her drastic change of behavior anytime we'd enter daycare grooming (she's never exhibited such behavior with any other groomer), thus I began to question the quality of work and treatment of my pet by the employees. Though I'd be the first to give the benefit of the doubt, the employees are frankly very young, seem unqualified, and lack any formal training in dog grooming. My yorkie's uncontrollable shaking and noticeable discomfort in this environment further act as indication that the treatment and environment are uncomfortable to my very social and outgoing pet, as well as other dogs who've seemed equally distressed during their visits that I've observed. My requests for the classic yorkie cut have been overlooked many times as she's been totally shaved for no reason at all, even during winter months. On our last visit (November '07) when I picked up my dog she had multiple abrasions and was unable to comfortably walk during the following week as a result of severe nicks to her paws. I was forced to apply an antibacterial ointment provided by my veterinarian to scratches on her chest and stomach that occurred during her trimming. My vet mentioned that the cut and my yorkie's condition served to support the idea that she was treated inappropriately during her grooming and strongly suggested that we report the business and seek another groomer. The condition of the grooming shop is something rather questionable as I've frequently noticed soiled towels hanging near grooming stations which are dusty and covered in other dog's hair. Having always been concerned for quality of work and treatment of my pet, my last comment serves to point out that a customer should demand more than just a pleasant smell as indication of a good groomer who has their pet's best interest in mind. As a loving and concerned pet owner, I urge you to seek out the best groomer who is trustworthy with your pet which whose importance is utterly immeasurable. more

Daycare Grooming 11/12/2007

This shop is the best i have been to. I have been taking my dog to shops all over Austin & Cedar Park, but when I came across this shop it stole me. They treat my dog the way he should be treated and the way i would treat him at home. He didn't stink for weeks afterward and he goes outside during the day while i am gone at work. They are the most reasonably priced grooming shop i have ever been to. Take your animals there! They do cats and dogs!!! Daniel Collins more
