Day & Night Heating & Air Conditioning

Simply the best. On one of the coldest nights we have ever had my furnace stopped. The previous company I used quoted a ridiculous price and said it would be several hours before they would be out. I called Day and Night on my mother's recommendation. Dave called me and told me how to get the furnace running till the morning. He said someone would be out in the am. They called and were there by the time he promised. The tech (Justin) was wonderful and very polite. The price was also very reasonable. They are now my first choice. more

I was very unhappy I was overcharged--I felt I was Ripped-off I PAID Cash-$85.00-Ask for a receipt---on Receipt STATES--NEW SENSOR--he was here 10 Minutes and only cleaned the Sensor with a piece of emery paper---$85.00???--I called and questioned the Charge--Asked if there was a Warranty-She wasn't sure-- needed to check-told her receipt states New Sensor But never Received a New Sensor!!-I was told I would receive a call back---NO Call Back---Waited 4 Business--DAYS--no Call--so I called them--was told there is no warranty---WELL NOTHING WAS REPLACED--Well I will Never Call Them Again---- more

I had used Day and Night a few years ago to replace a furnace after a flooded basement ruined my old one. Prices were great, service was execellent...\r \r A few weeks ago, I had trouble with the furnace in our new house...I called Day and Night, and Dave was able to be here first thing in the morning...he even offered to come out in the middle of the night. Well,long story short, the furnace began to work just a he opened it up, so he couldn't really diagnose the problem,although he made an eductaed guess based on known defects in the model. Get this... he DIDN'T even charge me to come out...try to get that result from some of the other big HVAC companies in Pittsburgh. Anyway, the furnace failed again the next day...He came right out (Did I mention it was 8 degrees outside,and I have a 20 month old daughter),and offered me the option of either replacing the part, or since it is not the greatest furnace, replacing the unit at a very reasonable cost. He even gave me an application for some State Subsidized Low interest loans...not some high interest credit card/loan shark type scheme like some other BIG Pittsburgh companies. Finally, I opted to replace only the part at that time...His total price for the part,service call,labor,tax,etc. was less than the list price I found when searching on Ebay for the part alone! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I have nothing but the highest regard for Dave and his company and urge you to try them for HVAC work and save yourself the headache and heartache of calling some of the big, well advertised companies (with the fancy wrapped trucks and catchy commercials with the too good to be true offers...). You will NOT have a horror story to tell with these guys, only a positive experience! On a final note...through my employment in an unrelated industry, I had the opportunity to perform some work for a gentleman who works at a company that supplies Day and Night with product, and he, too, had great things to say...So, in summary, give the little local guys a chance...you won't find them as easily as the BIG guys, but I can almost guarantee that the time spent to do so will be rewarded in spades!!! more
