Has a great selection with reasonable prices for the high quality product and selection that they offer. I go there twice a week. It gets busy towards the weekends but they do a good job at putting the customer's through, I've never had to wait too long. Pros: Fresh fresh seafood, knowledgable staff, live lobsters, they cook lobsters if your order ahead Cons: most of the staff is friendly but once in a while under pressure you'll get a stressed one. more

Best Seafood North of Boston!!!! 4/9/2007

I would absolutely recommend David's Fish Market. I think that the prices are fair (considering you get what you pay for...hey if you want OK seafood, go to Shaws just up the road) and you are pretty much guaranteed to get the best and freshest seafood available. I know of nowhere else in the Newburyport area where you can get better seafood, and I have been living in this area for well over 25 years. There is o doubt in my mind that David's is the place to go for seafood!! Pros: Prices are fair, Product is ALWAYS fresh Cons: Sometimes, the staff can be a bit rushed and not deliver their best customer service, but the product and price compensate for that more

Today Friday Feb 2 2007, my wife made a few purchases and the lady waiting on her was very unfriendly. Example: as soon as she walked in the store she was greeted in an unfriendly tone 2/2/2007

Just not a friendly attitude. When she handed the pkg to my wife she sai as my wife thought. Nineteen dollars. My wife said politely, I thought it was less then that. Her answer was ""well you have nice fish there. (What that meant I don't know unless sometimes the fish isn't nice. She then corrected herself and said $16.00 not $19.00. Anyway my wife told me she was not going back there again. I told her I would inform you of her experience. more
