BUSINESS: David Scott Fine Jewelry, Harrison Avenue, Downtown
REASON FOR VISIT: My engagement ring is a beautiful family heirloom from my husband’s side and therefore very precious to me. But the ring needed some prong work and polishing to get ready for an anniversary dinner. Four people from my church recommended David Scott to me, so I decided to take my ring there for repair.
SERVICE: I was quickly greeted when I entered the door. One of the owners, Rebecca, spent time examining my ring and explaining what would be happening to my ring and described the condition in which I would receive it back. Before taking in my repair, they put my diamond under the microscope to show me identifiable markers on the diamond to put me at ease that I would receive the same diamond back. When I returned a couple of days later for pickup, they showed me the markers again under the scope magnified on a large TV screen. This really impressed me.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Everyone I dealt with there (Rebecca and a young man whose name I don’t remember) was super friendly and seemed eager to help me. The store is very nice inside—clean and welcoming.
COST: I found the price very reasonable (around $100)—especially because if I did not get the prongs repaired, I might lose the diamond which is irreplaceable to me. I definitely did not mind spending the money on such an important repair.
OVERALL SATISFACTION: I felt really comfortable leaving my engagement ring with them for a few days. Their quality of work seems impeccable to me. And I received many compliments on the bright polish of my ring. I have a few other things in my jewelry box that I have been meaning to get repaired. I will definitely be visiting David Scott again and will be recommending this store to my family and friends!
