I had four implants and a bone graft with Dr. Scharf .. He is an excellent dentist. The surgery was without complications, , and I am thrilled with the result. I went in feeling hopeless about my situation, and came out feeling a solution had been found to my difficult dental problems. He also gave me a referral to an excellent prosthodontist to complete the work. I thought I would have to go into Manhatten to find the best,, but I found him on Long Island. I thought the cost was fair also. more

A Pleasant Experience 2/23/2012

I went to Dr. Scharf because of the proximity of his clinic to my office, and I will definitely return because I had what was probably my best experience at a dentist here. I didn't wait more than a few minutes in the waiting area and I didn't feel like I was being hurried out. Dr. Scharf explained everything very patiently since I cannot understand some professional terms. I have been nothing but impressed with both his skill as a dentist and his very friendly and caring personality. Overall, it's a pleasant experience. more

As a patient, I have always been apprehensive, but Dr. Scharf's calm demeanor, gentleness and skill put me right at ease. He is really impressive! In practical application, there is absolutely no comparison to what is offered in other clinics. Another thing I like about this clinic is that the appointment times are adhered to with little to no waiting. more

Dr. Scharf is 100% worth all it. His medical staffs are careful and kind, and he is lots of fun too. He made easier for me to go through my gum treatments. He explained all the procedures very well and made me comfortable all the things that have to be done. The best Periodontist I know! more

I had 3 implants and gum grafting done. All went very good. I am very pleased with the results. Dr. Scharf and his staff were very gentle, understanding and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to make you feel very comfortable and are very nice. You feel like you are part of their family. I will recommend this periodontist office to everyone who needs any kind of work done. more

I recently visited New York and had an emergency involving my tooth. Luckily, someone recommended that I go to Dr. Scharf's office and I sure glad I did. My problem now is that my dentist in my hometown is not Dr. Scharf. Sigh. more

Even though Dr. Scharf is constantly busy, he still takes interest in each and every one of his patients. He doesn't rush in performing treatments and other procedures and really makes an effort to get to know his patients. more
