David & Mary Salon/Spa

I left this salon with f*%/3d up horrible color and an awful cut for a very HIGH HIGH price. The receptionists were very friendly and nice, but that's about the only good thing I can say for this overpriced, second rate salon. David and Mary's is known for having stylist that are pushed by their owner to concentrate on the bottome line, not the happiness of the customers. They don't seem to care about anything but hurrying through an appointment to get to the next customer. And the owner is absolutely clueless when it comes to resolving customer problems. For $200,I should have left there smiling and gleaming in style. The owner did not apologize for the poor results of her stylist and said that there was nothing she could do to fix my hair problems. All that should matter to Mary is the happiness of her customers, and I have 4 friends that have also been completely dissatisfied with their services there. Also, I've heard that the salon is overbooked and nearly out of business, and frequently rushes to complete hair coloring and styling jobs to 'stay afloat'. My experience @ D&M's was beyond poor, and I've been rushed out of my salon seat for the next appointment each time. After my last visit, I will never return and I plan to recommend other salons to my friends and family. HORRIBLE salon! Pros: Friendly Receptionists Cons: Everything Else more

Valentines present from my wife was a massage. Had standard swedish massage which was the best one I have ever had!!! Just talking about wants me call them again to schedule another one. more

I had outstanding services at David and Mary's Salon and Spa. I was there for an entire day, and went back the next week to see if things truly are as wonderful as they were the previous trip for a hair color and cut. I have been to many spa's around the country and would rate this salon and spa one of my absolute favorites. It's a breath of fresh air to see the smiling faces of the girls at the front desk area, who are all eager to help you in any possible way. As I waited for my turn with my technician, I was offered a generous selection of beverages, I chose a nice hot cup of coffee to warm me up. I proceeded to the spa and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I received a massage, a facial, manicure and pedicure, and ended my day with a fabulous wash and style. The stylist even offered to touch up my make up before I left. My experience here was among the best; I have recommended it to many of my friends and family. I could go on forever on how lovely the salon and spa was, but I will end with a short and sweet statement: David and mary's salon and spa is one of the top in the Indianapolis area, I will be a reoccurring client from now on. I have been to David and Mary's 3 times, and I will never return. My first 2 visits weren't bad, I had my hair reshaped and cut into a cute style by 2 different stylists (both of which didn't stay with the business long enough for me to see again). They cut it well and gave me a modern shape that I was happy with for a reasonable price; however, both technicians left after their initial few weeks of employment. \r \r My 3rd visit, I was scheduled with someone completely out of my price point ($200 for full highlights!) eventhough I specifically asked for a new grad. I requested a warm auburn tone, and I left with PINK HAIR! Pink bangs and pink highlights--all of my colleagues asked me where I'd gone so they would be certain not to go there. When I called to complain, the female owner said that there was nothing she could do for me and she wouldn't 'apologize' for the price. I can honestly say, my inability to establish a continual relationship with a technician, the horrendous price, the absent customer service response to my complaint, and PINK HAIR combined to be the absolute worst salon experience I've ever had.
