Dave Wong's Deli

I was hungry. Obviously, Dave Wong was the first place I went. The deli girls are sweet, and did all my custom orders just right. When I asked more soy sauce, they gave me more than enough. When I told them that I wanted to change my order, they did it without complain, and always kept their smile on their faces. It was wonderful. The food was delicious. I have been going to Dave Wongs for the past 20 years,even when i moved out of Stockton and came back to visit Dave Wongs was my #1 place to always go and eat.Now that i'm back living here I never pass them up! Their prices is great and sweet/sour chicken and to be honest i myself just love all the food there they have to offer. Its very feeling and delightful..Keep up the good cooking. more

Dave wongs has deliciouse chinese food. The garlic shrimp are delicious! So is the chicken lettus wraps! This is definatly the best chinese resturant in the valley I have found so far. Pros: Delicious Food, Great Ambience Cons: Can be very pricy, can be packed more

My girlfriend took me to Dave Wong's representing it as the best Chinese in Stockton. Now, sad to say, this means that there isn't a decent Chinese meal in that town. I realize that I have great access to the full spectrum of Asian cuisine living in the Pacific NW, but the menu here is short and unimaginative. The food is adequate, but very American and bland to boot. Great prices, but small portions...the list goes on. Just another hole in the wall keeping you from starving to death. After reading the reviews it sounded like this place was great, I went there with my husband and didn't enjoy it at all, it was too expensive and pretentious for the bland tasting, americanized chinese food with cold dark decorations. I am a cross between italian and chinese food being my favorites. BUT was always more into Italian foods. My wonderful mother brought me to this restaraunt to see if i would like it. To my surprise, I never wanted to leave. It was the BEST Chinese I have EVER had. I could eat Dave Wong's everyday until the day I pass. I HIGHLY recommend Dave's WOng's for any accassion. The service is wonderful, the employees are always smiling( so polite ). The food is to die for. Dave Wong's could be a place to be bring your family or even a place to propose to the one you love! DW's new location is very nice... beats the strip mall location on Pershing by a mile. In short, I love spicy food and DW's Szechuan Chicken is a winner... red chili and serrano in one dish? Order plenty of water! The only knock I have is that other than chicken and seafood, I don't eat meat. Unfortunately Dave takes liberties even in the ""vegetables"" section and adds meat. The spring rolls are some sort of meat (unidentifiable) rolls... and there is no tofu. In combination with the very short menu, this can be limiting. As a patron gets hooked on a restaurant, they like to try new things... with the short menu, Dave may not get the repeat patronage that he would given a more inclusive menu.
