We have taken our car to a lot of mechanics around the Twin Cities, and Dave Steffens has been the best so far. They fixed a problem that several other mechanics couldn't. They do the work within the timeframe they quote, and they haven't charged us for anything I didn't think we needed. They follow up with a courtesy call to make sure you're satisfied. more

We have used Dave Steffens for years and have always received great service with our cars. They are timely, thorough, and generally offer a good deal for the money. more

Great Garage 8/26/2006

My family has been taking their cars to Dave for almost 40 years. I now continue the trend. He is consistently a AAA top shop. I always receive fair service and can trust them. (Huge with mechanics). I wouldn't go anywhere else. PROS: Great service. Excellant mechanics. CONS: more

Excellant Service with Integrity 8/26/2006

Top notch mechanics. This is the shop that other mechanics send the cars to that they can't fix. I have always had exemplary service. The mechanic always explains what is wrong, what I need to fix now, what would be cheaper now with other repairs (i.e. because they have access) and what I can wait on. They fix all and any types of cars including imports. PROS: Exceptional technicians with emphasis on customer service. CONS: Never fun when you car breaks down. more

Used to be my favorite mechanics...not anymore! 10/13/2005

Steffens used to be my favorite twin cities mechanics, but I felt a little ripped-off last time. I took the car in for one thing, and ended up being sent back out with a battery that should not have needed replacement. Of course there's no way to prove it now, but I happily take my business elsewhere these days. PROS: Not a chain store. CONS: May be selling unnecessary parts. more
